An Asian tiger in the making

India wants to be the next China
India has no plans to be the planet's disease incubator or world capitalist North Korea anytime soon

Unless by some miracle Maoists in India come to power and make India a one party state

You are so interesting. As the anus of the earth, do you really believe that you are better than North Korea???

From an indian media outlet no doubt.

"In 1971, it was much poorer with a per capita GDP of $133.6, a third lower than Pakistan’s $178.5. In 2020, the position sharply transformed being two–thirds higher at $1,968.8 as against $1,193.7 of Pakistan, as estimated by the World Bank. Bangladesh, in fact, jumped ahead five years ago and the gap has widened every year thereafter"

" In 2020-21, its 5% GDP growth contrasts favourably with the devastation in Maldives whose growth could shrink by as much as 33.6%, followed by India with negative growth of 7.3%, Sri Lanka’s minus 3.6%"

"Bangladesh’s resilience is largely due to its model of development. It is a frontrunner in improving the socio-economic conditions of its population, especially women"

There is no doubt BD is on the right path. I can say this with 100% certainty that in the next decade or so, Pakistani people will feel greatly ashamed of being completely left behind, and still in dark ages of Poverty, while BD will be far ahead.

ADB predicts 7.1% GDP growth for BD for 2023 while BD government thinks 7.5%. Usually BD government is more closer to the actual number.

Sadly I think you are right as regards Pakistan. Once Pakistan decides it wants sustained economic development I am sure that BD will stretch its hand out to assist in any way it can.

Pakistan has huge potential, dont worry brother. I dont wanna meddle in your internal matter, but IMO if Pakistan wanna grow its economy it has to get rid of Army rule. Look around the world, there are really not a single example of a country that has had army rule and been able to skyrocket its economy.

Lets wait for India Q2 2022 number to come out which I believe will still range around 4-5%, if my calculation is true so it will be total embarrassment for institutions that I mentioned above

We can easily predict the decrease in India economy consumption by seeing the Indian inflation rate increase that is also combined with higher interest rate in 2022.

If Indian government try to boost the economy by enlarging budget deficit (gov spending), it will damage Indian economy in long run since their debt to GDP ratio has already been around 88 % in 2021 and with this The Fed tightening policy the loan taken from bond market will be more expensive to get (higher yield)

Indians and their migrants are very good at pleasing the Western man. Thats how they capture high ranking jobs, by kissing a*ss all day long.

Quite rich coming from the boat people- the largest source of illegal migrants in Europe. :D

Little wonder why your population ends up as bottom feeders everywhere. Guess which ethnic group has the highest poverty rate in the UK.

Not all, most Indians are decent and wish no ill.

There is just a bunch of Indians who are obsessed with Bangladesh. You will see them spending more time spewing their hatred about Bangladesh. They are accompanied by some salty uncle Toms from Bangladesh.

Most Bangladeshis don't spend this much time thinking about Bangladesh, like these individuals do.

You're right - most Indians get on great with Bangladeshis.

Pdfs Indian trolls think they're being clever insulting BD - what they don't realise is that they are painting a picture of the small hearted, big ego, thin-skinned nature of Indians.

It also ensures that stats and articles about Indias problems get reposted again and again.

Anyone who had any respect for Indians would lose it reading their posts - all so that 2 or 3 lowlifes could stoke their egos on here.

If you look at the posts across the board from sensible BD'shis, Indians and Pakistanis they generally tend to agree that in terms of economy the "big three" are in the following order from best to last:

1. BD

Small gap

2. India

Large gap

3.

Pakistan

Unfortunately Pakistan is lagging behind and I am sure that even most Indians who are decent human beings would want Pakistan to get on high and sustained per capita growth trajectory like both BD and India as soon as possible.

No-one in S . Asia actually benefits from an economically weak Pakistan. Not India, BD and of course not Pakistanis especially.

Bros, can we have a look at this thread as there seems to be some people who are trolling here and trying to ruin an interesting discussion?
