An Army dedicated Fighter jet unit

It appears that the PAF is responsible for strategic air power, e.g. defending Pakistani air space, ensuring that an area is free of airborne threats to the Army, attacking major targets, etc. They have no bandwidth for turboprop attack planes and would much rather focus on fast jets such as F-16 and JF-17.

The PAA is responsible for providing CAS coverage to the Army's ground forces. In this sense, it could theoretically use a turboprop attack plane, but it has limited means. The priority right now is to shore up attack helicopters as these are applicable for both COIN and conventional operations (e.g. anti-armour).

IMO the only way a turboprop attacker can make its way to Pakistan is if the PAF embraces the Hurkus or Pilatus for basic training (replacing the T-37s) with local licensed manufacturing. In that case, one can scale the ToT cost by adding more units, including attack planes. Otherwise, zero chance.

This looks like a Mirage to me.
There were reports earlier that PA pilots were being trained by the PAF on fast jets.
I think for that purpose army is working on armed drones ... MALE armed drones are much cost effective way of supporting army in ground offence ...

THey are cheap, having much higher loiter time, oer hour operational cost can be reduced, pilot fatigue issue is minimum, percision strike with drone is much easy ,,, only issue weapon load and speed ... I think speed can be addressed by putting numbers on the table and using multiple bases ...

Found this interesting logo obviously painted on the side of some fighter jet.
Just wondering if the PA has a dedicated fast jet unit.

It is a JF-17 and the logo is related to Army's "Logistics" Wing involved in transportation of this plane. Most likely something to do with the planes that were brought in from China as far as i can tell.

I still don't get it, what does it imply. :what:
It implies that an FB page owner has edited his page name on a picture of JF17 and its not some dedicated fighter jet unit of army..and the aircraft turns out NOT to be a mirage
U are intelligent enough to understand that from the screenshot i posted...
