This kid has been impressive since he came to the scene.
I agree with keeping the Muslim/Jew references out. At the international level, these players don't care about such things and it is a sport, not war.
Lastly, Aamir Khan is a British boxer, not Pakistani. We can't claim him, it's up to him entirely what he identifies himself as. He did, however, after the earthquakes in 2005, come to Pakistan to provide aid to the affected. Great gesture, and a sing that he is trly connected with his ancestral homeland.
Yes, indeed. That is why I said it is up to him to decide. He is, obviously, a proud Pakistani. However, my point was simply that he fights out of Britain, and represents British boxing when he fights.Khan identifies himself not as a British, but a British-Pakistani. Sounds like the same thing but his attitude in one of the interviews was more Pakistani than British. He's proud of his heritage and loves to visit Pakistan. The interview was arranged by GEO in which he said that he's a patriot Pakistani just like anyone else. He also said that the green colored portion on his trunks represent Pakistan and the other side represents United Kingdom and that's how its been like since he started his career. I think that says it all.
You can search for that interview on Youtube.
