I think the logical divide has only been accentuated by the events over the decades. They do not share the same strategies and cannot.
Russia and China being in the same geographical region share more common points that will bind them together until the point where one of the two starts thinking other as a hindrance in its path to supremacy. By logic there could only be a single super power. Till then, happy days for Russia and China. US will try all it can to use India as a counter balance but India does not belong to that league yet. So, US will find it increasingly difficult to balance off the joint Russian-Chinese weight. And hence it will contribute to regions instability as its best bet. Watch out everyone.
