I think it's easier in the old days. There aren't that much political cloud over both country, and real cooperation could have done something back then. Today, we care about political motive of each other and most of all, media.

When I have to cross into Pakistan from Afghanistan, I need to take my dog tag out, rip off all SSI and rank insignia and wear a sanitized uniform, and people like me (who does not looks like an average American) are pick because we can blend in with the people and did not raise suspicion. But those meeting really help us get insight with a lot of stuff...I guess you don't need to do all that during Op Zarb-e-Azb.
