Was the Middle East peaceful before U.S. involvement? There were the Arab wars against Israel, the Iran-Iraq conflict, Yemen conflicts, revolts in Jordan and Lebanon, coups, millions killed by police states like Saddam's...was America an "obstacle" because it didn't stop such things?
