American female student falls in love with Saudi Culture

.
Hey again,

I never got emotional in here, I'm just stating fact that the lady came to KSA, and she enjoyed it, is that too much for people to take? If no, then please!! Be my guest.

I could argue the same when it comes to Israel, many of you guys go emotional, almost break down with tears, while the Israelis are indifferent, no offense to any Indian friends of mine, I have already discussed this on other topics with Indians in here like @BLACKGOLD and @Dillinger

This is not a contest about who loves whom, these are fixed facts.

Cool. You have an Indian crew you roll with. @Dillinger is especially a hard nut to get a hold of!!!

Let's move on and talk about the article she wrote, any specific thoughts on the matter? Also, it says she wrote a piece on terrorism but I wasn't able to locate it. Any luck on your side?

She fell in love and is still in the US and not Saudi Arabia? Makes no sense.

It's explained in the subsequent sentences of the article;

And this summer, the Greer-native is living in New York City at her own expense to help Arab people become U.S. citizens.

. .
So what's the story?

She went to Saudi, saw how nice the people are, and now wants to import them to the US?

And everyone lived happily ever after...!!!

What exactly were you expecting?

The most beautiful thing about Saudi Arabia is the girls. They are very confident and outgoing.

Arab culture might just be an exotic culture to her. People usually fall in love with exotic things. Like myself lol I won't say I'm 'obsessed' with East Asia (especially Japan and China) but I've been interested in East Asia since I was 10 years old. I'd like to learn everything about East Asian religions and mythology. East Asia is the most interesting place to me

I know a Japanese woman who loves Arab cultures very much. My elder sister loves Germany. It could be a matter of taste too

LOL, and I thought that our Dhofari sister had moved to Japan.:cheesy: But sure, Japan seems like a very interesting place. They first opened up to the world 150 years ago and look at them now. They have wonderful swords too. Huge Western aid and all that aside.

Well, most of the nearly 2 billion Muslims have some kind of affinity with the Arab world and you can't study Islam without studying Arab culture/history/history of the Middle East to understand it fully. So, yes A LOT of people have an interest in Arabs and Arabic language in particular. Well after all it's not like that we are talking about the Faroe Islands in terms of size, coverage and influence - not that they are less interesting because every single country and people are interesting and have their pros and cons. Just look at this forum. Everyone has strong opinions about us Arabs - positive and the opposite. But sure there is a HUGE ignorance about the Arab world from many likewise from many Arabs too about themselves, other Arab countries, neighbors etc. It's quite sad really.

Anyway speaking about people then this is an AMAZING video. Since the day I saw it I have badly wanted to go to Papua New Guinea. Seems like one of the worlds most beautiful and amazing places.

Your Dhofari sister is moving to Japan soon XD My parents will go with me but they will stay for just a few days. of course they hate it. People will 'eat' them for letting me live alone in Japan, you know what I mean. I really appreciate their 'sacrifices' for me.

Is it me or most people hate Arabs for political reasons? I'm more interested in cultural things. We have many interesting things in our cultures but not many people know about them. Like folktales? I'm currently translating a collection of Dhofari folktales into English. I'm sure some foreigners will find them interesting! I really hate how Omani history is little heard of too. Oman's history has a lot of interesting stories

I saw a documentary about Papua a few months ago. It is a very beautiful place. Lots of trees :D!

including this one :)

I knew it :yay:

Sadly, the Iranian regime did brainwash a big portion of the Iranian people, as well as non-Iranians - such as Hezbollah - But still, there is a hope. Keep in mind that we should look into how we are being viewed by our foes.
