That welfare dole is not a lot. Compared to Europe, Americans get next to no benefits. The US leads the world in pretty much everything, it'll be a while yet until China claims the throne if at all.

True, but even this meager amount is just enough to stop the blacks and Mexicans from rioting. Remember during the 1960's, there were far less welfare, and far more riots. The advance of organized sports (to pacify the masses) and the simultaneous increase in welfare dole has kept the peace in the US. But not for long.

Nobody actually believed soviet union would collapse but it did so without firing a shot..same would happen to America. Once their technocrats, scientests and industrial gaints start to flee to other countries. however given the today situation its only possible if America continues to deteriorate for next 10 -15 years. As of yet it is not in as bad shape as many people wet dream it to be.

I agree with benefits helping out single mums, disabled people etc. But you should not be able to live a life of them otherwise there is no incentive to work.

well china is the largest bond holder of US treasury of about 1.5 trillion...
India have oly 41 billion...
Stock market will crash in india...
but the economy wont weaken like china's in a unlikely scenario of collapse of US economy and dollar...

I dont think short term it will disintegrate. But their preeminent position in the world and its ability to behave as a bully will be seriously diminished.

I accept that there will be collateral damage but as far as i am concerned it will not effect the poor and starving around the world or the people at the recieving end of their injustices like the palestinians etc. It will effect their own nationals more than others.

Israel faces threat from all the muslim countries around it, and it has a right to safeguard its right it..
But what israelis doing to palestinians is complete injustice....

you have not been to Africa lately have you. The weapons of choice in most of the conflict areas of Africa are Chinese and Russian. Of course this is due mainly to them being cheaper to buy.

I dont see america controlling Israel at all. Israel is an artifical state and would not survive without the charity it receives from america.
