looks like T-72 and the explosions are IEDs planted on the sides of the road
if it was a normal hit , the crew would of survived since the impact area is the engine
pretty much any tank would be immobilized after such hit.

I doubt that was a T-90, but it would of probably resulted in the same ending if it was.

The explosion looks too abnormal for such an attack.. Probably others are right about bombs planted around the tank separately.

T-14 specifically uses a design that puts the engine in the front of the tank to create more protection for the crew, not less. So I don't think the result was related to that.

in the first video the ATGM if it even hits the tank , hits the engine of the tank
you can see the centre of the explosion on the sides of the road,

the video you posted is also an IED, an ATGM is not a JDAM it doesn't cause such a massive explosion
you can compare other videos of TOW hits, the ammo also takes a little amount of time to cook off
most of the time there will be a delay of explosions.

To be honest, i dont believe that its IED.. Then why would they waste the TOW.. in slow montion, you can see that it heat the tank from down behind, there where they keep the ammunition... Engine is little bit up! there is also petrol tanks station there, that might also push the explosion..

Thread is off Topic. Kamil, the Syrian conflict videos are not related to Altay tank. And the group who posted that original video have killed Turkish citizens in the past.
