MQM followers only quote that period but dont say anything about MQM character before and after. Afterwards, it again plunged into violent politics it was known for before 2002.

Dont forget in 2002 or end of 2001, MQM chief wrote letter to Blair and offered help to dismantle ISI. IT did change its behavior constructively. But after 2008, it unleashed its known target killers and indulged into violent politics it had been famous for.
