@ The problem in Bnagladesh politics is that we have become muslims not directly rather indirectly. Most of our forefathers were the members of (Murids) various "Pir, Fakirs, Ulema Mashek".

@ These "Pir, Fakhirs, Ulema Mashek" came from various countries of Middle East. Some came from Afganistan, Iran, Arab, Turkistan etc so their traditions differs slightly. It is difficult to unite in the common platform. Let's take an example of your home district Sylhet. In the election of 1946 most of the people of greater Shlhet were the followers of something like "Anjuman"(Islamic political aprty). Jammat-e-Islami did not even believe on "Two Nation Theory". Through out the campaign they voted against Pakistan.

I believe that people are getting more aware and learning the real ISLAM now thanks to people like zakir Naik and many BD
daies.
We got sylet via the ballot even though the INDIAN Babus wanted to take it via vote rigging. Syletis supported the 2 nation
theory and are still the most Patriotic people in BD.
I think the one mistake Jamat ever did is not support the 2 nation theory. They should have supported the 2 nation theory.

@ Actually the concept of Jammat at that time was united India. They believed that if India remained united then all muslims of India through their collective effort could do better. Through the creation of Pakistan and India all muslims could not send their people to Pakistan and all Hindus could not go to India. To some extend their concept was not wrong ?????????

i want to add little more . Jamat was form to established a Islamic sate on the other hand the leader of muslim league wanted to form a country on the basis of muslim majority Islam or using islamic values in the statehood was not their intention nor they had any ways to do that as most of them were not devoted muslim i think . Th leader of Jamt maududi had told they can give us a Muslim state not a islamic state thats what i think plight them as anti pakistan . but assumption was not wrong here too , even today Pakistan is not a fully Islamic state .

Well you have a point and I believe that was the actual cause. But I think they lacked vision &
did a blunder by believing that muslim will be given their due rights under a Hindu INDIA. Muslims in INDIA are the most socially discriminated people in India right now. If they had supprted the 2 Nation Theory than they would have made the politics of United PAK more stable as we know that
M.league collapsed due to corrupt leaders within 1955 leaving a political vacuum later filled by corrupt thugs & vision less Malitary leaders. IF jamat had support back then they could have come to power and they also had a solid Ideology. Jamat today is more popular in BD than in PAK and in PAK they are even broken down into sects.
