Whoever was on the boat was extremely dangerous.

It takes Jihadi mentality to blow up yourself. These people were definitely planning a terror strike on India.

Normal fishermen or smugglers would not kill themselves. At best they might try to run, or fire at CG. If nothing works they would surrender.

To me it seems like PA is trying to divert attention of people from the terror strikes at home. The PA does not want to take action against its assets (the terrorists) and so creating problems with India, so that people's attention shifts away from home terrorists.

The Indian media was peddling nothing. It was reporting the rumors which were coming in. This could have been a Mumbai attack style attack. Absolutely possible.

The govt gave out a story. That story has no terror as a confirmation.

All the hoopla is/was about one thing only. Explosives. Whether or not explosives were there or not.

You created a thread about it and you actually have a problem with Indian media reporting stuff they too heard about ! What is the difference ?

PS : I would say now is the right time to unite Pakistan against it's enemies through a Mumbai type attack in India. Don't tell me the pak and pure Pakistan would never think of it. Especially now after zarbeazb and Peshawar. You deny that it is a possibility in the given circumstances ?

I did not blame GoI. I said praveen swamy did his homework. At least posted a counternarrative which seems closer to truth. Others were lazy, took the official version and added masala that was lying in their cupboard.

praveen swamy also added his own masala. He is doubting the whole operation. Providing more fuel to the fire which could get catch fire anytime but a counter narrative is already available for Pakistani deniability

I'm getting this feeling that most Indian posters are respected accomplished members living in cosmopolitan cities. It is easier to get carried by rage under government and media created hype. I urge you to please some day visit those poor souls which live near Pakistan's territories and waters. Those farmers near LOC and fishermen from India are just trying to make their daily wage. They will tell you the lethality and force with which a military responds is no joke. Please stop feeding this stupid rage of your media and government. Your countrymen also die and Pakistan's military are no push over. They hurt really bad. Come to senses and try visiting those areas.

By countering the Indian government's own narrative with out half truths and blatant lies whilst also promoting the interests of the enemy (best case smugglers- still enemies of the state) how is he not acting in a traitorous manner?

Well as has been pointed out, Mr Swami is hardly objective himself and is clearly acting with some sort of agenda so why are you willing to take his word over the official line or at least those writing rebuttals who utilise more facts than Mr Swami himself. Right ! But know this thing about the Indian media. It is a circus which actually serves it's purpose. Such attention apart from being looked at as a negative thing makes sure one thing, that the story does get all the angles in the view and if you are not an idiot, you can put together 0.2 + 0.4 + 0.05 + 0.1 + 0.05 + 1.50 + 0.5 as 1. But then not being an idiot helps in India. As indians across the board will agree. Thank you.
