Don't you remember, all the Indians here were mocking Pakistan for "selling their country" to the USA?

Yet Pakistan never signed the LEMOA?

I do agree that Indian Communists are stupid and traitors to their motherland, but in this issue they are right for once. Allowing US military troops to operate out of Indian soil, just think about what you would say if China did that?

Has any US troop landed in India?
Has US flying drones in India without India;s consent?
Has US dropping bombs in India and still doing business with India?
Has US using India's own air base to refuel and dropping bombs in India?

Then how come it is "selling their country" by Indians?

Ignoring the message itself, the deal really is bad for India.

It is unlikely that India would ever use US bases, at least not for the next few decades, while the US not only immediately gets to use Indian bases, but use it to keep its current strategic interests going in the region. The main benefactor here is the US; India got a really bad deal.

And it gave its military base to US, first to attack Afghanistan, then to bombard its own people. For Pakistan, US does not require LEMOA, treaties ate not signed with vassal states. I think there is no such treaty with China and Pakistan, but still Chinese navy can use Pakistani naval basses.

Also, treaties are signed by countries who respect these treaties.
China and Pakistan are known for violating treaties or doing stuff without signing treaties. For example, hte nuclear trade they are doing does not have any international treaty governing them.. Where as India got the waiver for nuclear trade by following proper procedure.

The Polit Bureau of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has issued the following statement:

The Polit Bureau of the CPI(M) strongly condemns the signing of the Logistics Support Agreement between the United States and India which will allow the American armed forces to access and use Indian military bases.

The Logistics agreement termed as the Logistic Exchange Memorandum of Agreement (LEMOA) has been signed in Washington during the visit of Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar.
By signing such an agreement, India has acquired the formal status of a military ally of the US. Under this agreement the US airforce and navy can use Indian naval and air bases for logistics support, refueling and services on a regular basis. The US armed forces can utilise Indian military bases while conducting military operations in third countries.

The Modi government has compromised on Indian sovereignty and surrendered its strategic autonomy by signing such an agreement with the most powerful imperialist country in the world.

All patriotic Indians will reject such a subordinate role to US imperialism.

First it was US and Russia fighting each other in Afghanistan.. This time it will be US and China in Pakistan using CPEC as triggering point.

None of the major country use their land as fighting ground as it destroys their own cities which were created with lots of investment of time and money. Plus it kills many of their citizens. that is why most of the wars fought in recent times by these major players are in proxy.
