For some odd reason been hearing this since the late 80s. The ones(political parties) that trumpeted these desires all became history in the end.

PMLN was formed or founded in 1993.

Zia ul Haq died in 1988 (late 80s).

Before that founders of Nooni gang had no will or decision of their own.

Early and through out 90s their only political achievement was defaming and badmouthing benazir.

The first time when they were faced with hardship, they preferred making a deal and flee. 13 years or so they were totally disconnected with anything Pakistan.

Strange and sad that Pakistanis elected a guy three times as PM of country who didn't even know about his own daughter's affair.

For some odd reason you didn't know the actual history of your own party.
