So you support the idea of the Federal government legally taking over the administration of Karachi, and becoming responsible for taking care of both expenses in Karachi and revenue generated from Karachi?

How can PPP alone do anything meaningful in Karachi when PTI and MQM refuse to cooperate? Bilawal has offered MQM ministries in Sindh government but they want to ride two boats at once. And IK is fvckall serious about Karachi. He's only interested in power politics.

Under the constitution of Pakistan, the PPP led Sindh Government is responsible for Karachi, and the NFC Award was updated with a significant amount of Federal Revenues transferred to the provinces in order to deal with those responsibilities.

The Federal Government does not have the finances to undertake major changes in Karachi, not to mention the legal and constitutional issues that will crop up in terms of how much autonomy (from the PPP led Sindh Government) any such Federal projects will have. Involvement of any kind of the PPP led Sindh government will only cause much of the same issues with corruption, delays and ineptitude we have seen from the PPP over the last few decades.

So the question goes back to you - what is the entity responsible for Karachi under the constitution, the PPP led Sindh Government, doing for Karachi other than blaming the Federal Government and everyone else?
