Pakistan needs to do something serious about this TTP leadership enjoying fun time in Afghanistan

Or else be ready to lose thousands and thousands more while country remains bogged down in this war

Sudden rise in terrorism is because terrorism never ended.
Zarb E Azb did not end terrorism. Most of TTP crossed border into Afghanistan and fought there.
Now we’re facing TTP + some factions of Afghan Taliban who have given their support to TTP.
The rise in attacks is because 1) Taliban takeover in Afghanistan and 2) settling of terrorists in Pakistan under the guise of “negotiations”.

Even if Pak Army eliminated 90% of TTP during Zarb E Azb, ideological they faced 0 damage and used that to their advantage to just recruit more fighters + the aligning with Baloch terrorists and Afghan nationalists meant TTP had a larger pool of people they could recruit from.

In short, we celebrated victory too early while the enemy was simply regrouping and changing up it’s strategy.

Any future operation will follow the same pattern. Much if not most of TTP will go Afghanistan and wait it out. Pak Army will clear all areas. When things calm down TTP will use sleeper cells to spike up attacks and enter “negotiations” while using that as a cover to re enter the cleared areas on mass. And the cycle repeats.

That’s why I always say Pakistan needs to fight this on multiple fronts not just militarily. They need to fight it ideologically and ensure development in war torn areas. Pakistan needs to figure out what it’s doing with Afghanistan and become proactive not reactive. Pakistan needs to bring the fight to the enemy rather than the enemy bring the fight to it.

Basically, Pakistan lacks long term strategy and direction which causes all this.
