That's not a legal justification, rather emotional and personal. So stop wasting bandwidth on this site.
I was there last year and noticed no such thing, there was complete freedom of movement. People of all ages could enter and there was no delay. So if there were any they were very well implemented and not noticed. The demonstrations in Palestine are not primarily related to these explosive detectors, rather the status quo in Jerusalem and the West Bank overall.
