MILSAR SAR/MTI Radar enables UAVs to operate even over the cloud

MİLSAR enter service : Turkish UAVs are getting stronger

MILSAR is a synthetic aperture (SAR) and moving target indicator (MTI) Radar system developed by Meteksan Defence

Thanks to its cutting-edge technologies and innovative architectural advantages, MILSAR has competitive SWaP characteristics

-- MTI range 160 km and SAR range 27 km
-- Extremely low weight of 28 kg
-- 30 cm of resolution

-- Motion Person Detection Mode (DMTI)
-- Shore Surveillance Mode (MMTI)
-- Coherent Change Detection (CCD)

Multi-Mode Weather Radar
All Weather Surveillance
Wide Area Surveillance

Meteksan OKIS Automatic Take-off and Landing System

As it is known, there are GPS, laser or radar-based solutions for the automatic take-off and landing systems of UAVs.

GPS has disadvantages such as dependency on satellites and easy confusion, while laser solutions have disadvantages such as dependence on weather conditions and target tracking with narrow beam

For these reasons, radar-based systems, equivalent to OKIS, are used for safe landing and take-off, even under confusion, on UAV platforms that stand out in the world

as long as Turkey relies on the US GPS it will have issues with drones

however this example of using radar is a extremely good example do get around that dependence

but how much they can do with radar is limited

Fergani Space (Baykar subsidiary) is working on Turkiye's own positioning system. Expect Turkiye to make big moves in space in the coming years. (They are working on a hard impact lunar mission in 2024, launched with a foreign rocket)

"Fergani constellation is going to provide technological solutions for marine , aviation, IOT, weather, logistics and enterprise market applications.

Fergani’s 100 kg class micro satellite platforms will operate at an altitude range of 500-600 km. These satellites will provide communication and positioning services and will be operating in the Ku, Ka, S and L bands for global coverage."

1 satellite does not make a GPS system

you need a whole constellation of satellites to get GPS and the cost runs into 10s of billions of dollars

even more if you want to do global which I doubt Turkey can ever manage now or in the future

maybe they can get cover for some important parts of Turkey

They literately wrote "constellation". They are going to deploy a constellation of 100kg satellites.

TUALCOM TrNav ground-based Navigation and Timing System

The global positioning and timing system, which is perhaps one of the most important elements of the battlefield, was developed with domestic and national resources

Terrestrial positioning system
TRNAV provided better, more convenient and accurate positioning and timing than GPS, which is considered one of the best systems in this field

Thanks to the vehicles they set up, they receive the signal from space via Satellites

After illuminating above, we allow other platforms to know their own location and position very clearly

we built a system that complements each other from air to ground to air, so that the platforms that were in the air at that time were also broadcasting to the station on the ground

We can use the system wherever Turkiye needs

The system produced by TUALCOM is very easy to carry and can be installed quickly. that the system is not local and can be used wherever needed if desired

By adding our system to Ships and unmanned Vessels, we will be able to take our sphere of range to longer distances

Let's say we operate in X country which is very far from us . Our system weighs 3-4 kg .. It can be assembled in about 3 minutes. When our military units establish this, we will be able to use our own positioning system in those regions very quickly

even more if you want to do global which I doubt Turkey can ever manage now or in the future

Our sphere of influence and interests are not in the American Continent or in the southern Pacific or whether Australia

Balkans-Libya-Qatar-Somalia-Central Asia line will be enough for Turkiye

Any word on the TB3 first flight? the drone has been unveiled, the ship has been commissioned, now we are just waiting for the first flight right? they probably won't do it off the TCG Anadolu the first time, maybe just a ramp on a runway I think.

In a interview Selcuk Bayraktar anounced that TB3 will fly short after Teknofest.

. . . . .
AKINCI now has an AESA nose radar. This is an unusual capability gain for UCAVs in this class, so it is important to emphasize AKINCI's doctrinal design rather than its system components. A truly unique concept is evolving.

btw, @Oublious bro, did you see that:

lol

A plus point for Anka, i hope they will make something like Kemankes for ANKA or they use Kemankes on Anka. You can see MMW radar in the middle, looks like something for the navy. Turning a basic drone into a strategic weapon all these equipments.

. .
Akinci will fly soon with the MURAD aesa radar it is a installed on a Akinci, a new concept of UAV will start in the world. Akinci will be able fire air to air missile and work as patrol uav. Turkish uav will turn a simple UAV to a strategic weapons. A simple TB2 with Kemankes cruisemissiles turning in to a strategic weapon.
