Thanks to Israel and USA

The reality is that we have some kind of that idiotic mentality not erased for example engine programs should have been started with tank and helicopter projects . Do ppl really need such kind of allies to think for their own... Are ppl really so stupid...

I was talking about the exact same thing with my wife yesterday. I remember not being allowed to buy UAVs, then being allowed to buy them with miles of strings attached on where and how we can operate them.

Then I remember their servicing being a huge hassle and them breaking down left and right, so they had to be sent back to Israel to be serviced which NEVER happened on time. Some Herons were even lost to Israel I think? Might be mistaken there.

Anyways, fast forward 10 years and not only are we in the big league in UAV design and manufacturing we've started selling these to international buyers. We've managed to sell them to Ukraine which has jet engine and all sorts of avionic capabilities. Turkey sold UAVs to that country - it's very very humbling IMO.

Huge! Congrationals!

Any orders yet? It was co-developed with Indonesia, so they must be interested in acquiring some.

I dont think Indonesia has any contributions on Anka-II . There are a lot to speak on this but this is,as it is.

Ok we can say officially that no one will compete turkey in UAV's (except USA). ?
No, the current giants will have on par and better (though situational) products for the foreseeable near future. But it wouldn't be a big mistake to say that Turkey will be one of the best UAV producers in the future, even on-par with the US.

Not even close today though.
