I think these R-300's could be equipped with stingers. After all a stinger missile is lighter and shorter than a cirit.

IMO the R-300 UAV has alot of potential with regard to our LPD project. R-300's equipped with stingers and cirits would give our lpd extra protection without taking up much space on the deck of the lpd. It would give the vessel some anti air capabilities and the ability to take out smaller enemy ships (FAC and patrol boats) without having to risk loosing any expensive assets.

It does't hurt to dream right?

For the use on TN Warships and on LHD the R-300 will be further developed to reach similar Capabillities like the "Fire Scout", but I would not use them for Air Defence Duties !

Range and Height is an important aspect of a UAV. Bayraktar aren't celebrating each milestone for no reason.

Bayraktar has successfully demonstrated the only Turkish UAV to have flown for straight 24 hours @ 24,000ft, and it was suppose to be a Tactical UAV we can Class it as a MALE UAV now with those numbers.

As the aircraft gets lighter using up fuel, loiter time is increased as the engines don't have to run as hard. He also says in the clip that UAV could have flown for an extra 6-7 hours.
Also worth mentioning that 50kg weight was added to simulate E/O payload during this test.

Bayraktar means flag bearer and is a common surname in Turkey.
