Maurya ended in 185 BC. Next 2000 years, there was neither a centralized empire nor an emperor of Hindustan, aka Indian subcont.

Territory expand and contract, but sovereignty of a state/empire doesn't change. Chinese imperial system run until 1911. Hindustan refers to geographical region, made up of hundred of different kingdoms with their own culture, ethnic groups and kings. You were never one country/empire until British created India.

I see your point bro, but I was not talking about RSS but about these fringe groups which promote violence against other communities. Like it or not but these monuments are part of our history and we should not destroy them, they are part of us.
