MUMBAI: A day after giggling, Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving terrorist involved in the 26/11 attacks, on Tuesday threw a fit making angry gestures at policemen and spat on webcam during hearing in the Bombay High Court on confirmation of his death sentence.

Kasab, facing capital punishment for his involvement in the 2008 Mumbai attacks, suddenly got angry with policemen at the Arthur Road jail and was seen on the video screen put up in the court arguing with them.

23-year-old Kasab could not, however, be heard at that stage as the audio system was not working. Towards the end of the first session, Kasab spat on the camera and said in an aggressive tone "Main aana chahata hoon (I want to come to the court)."

The division bench, comprising Justice Ranjana Desai and Justice R V More, had left the court room by then for lunch.

Earlier, after the hearing began, Kasab urged the Judges to allow him to attend the court personally instead of appearing through video conference.

"Madam, main court mein aana chahata hoon" (Madam, I want to come to the Court), Kasab said after seeking permission to go to the washroom.

Justice Desai replied, "This is not the practice. We are not looking at evidence. We are only hearing arguments. Speak to your lawyer."

She told him that the bench would hear him later and asked him to leave for the washroom.

However, after some time Kasab grew restless and picked up an argument with policemen, which was not audible.

When hearing resumed, Kasab said, "Send me to the US. I want to see the outside world. :-)woot:)Why have you put me here?"

The judges told Kasab to talk to his lawyer about his plea to go to the US.

Kasab was then seen walking away in a huff from the video conferencing, prompting the judges to remark there is no requirement in law that he should remain present in the court.

"Spitting is not expected and as Kasab has walked out on his own, the court cannot help it," the judges said after getting a complaint that he spat on the camera during lunch recess.

Kasab was seen smiling and yawning yesterday showing no signs of remorse when hearing on his death sentence commenced.

For security reasons, instead of being brought to the High Court for daily hearings, he is beamed in through video conference.

Kasab has been kept in a special bomb-proof and bullet-proof cell in the high security jail. He had applied, through his lawyers, to be physically present in the High Court but this was rejected by the court for security reasons.

On May 6, the trial court had awarded death sentence to Kasab. In accordance with law, death penalty was referred to the High Court for confirmation.

kasab must have been tortured by indians to say all rubbish for him belonging to pakistan

Ohh yeah , the entire world has been tortured by India into accepting that the terrorists came from pakistan ... Please grow up realize what is the state of your country and acknowledge the fact that the entire world looks upon Pakistan as a state which does nothing but foster terrorism.
This is not to be confused with the ordinary people with Pakistan . just get rid of y our leaders who spew hate and propaganda and focus on growth . I am in no way insulting Pakistan only those who think its ok to kill in the name of so called freedom struggle . grow flourish and educate , it’s the only way forward.

One thing I dont understand is why him and his other gunmen were wearing those orange bracelets that normally hindus wear. He got into India by a boat? Indian radars arrest poor Pakistani fishermen on the spot and they failed to detect this boat? These men were shooting for more than a day so they had to have bring unlimited ammo, didn't the people see them carrying big bags of ammo and huge guns into the hotel? They killed the guy who was investigating hindu terrorism, why him? His urdu is pretty bad for a Pakistani yet he knows fluent Marathi.

is there a reason why the indians want to keep him alive for so long? It's already been 2 years! indians established verdict, so fine be done with it already. Keeping him alive keeps attention on this silly subject alive as well maybe ;)

Whenever I see talk of 'Orange bracelets' and 'Marathi speaking', and 'Indian torture' and all the rabid conspiracy theory nonsense, I smile and save it in a file on my desktop called 'Conspiracy theories from Pakistan'. The file is pretty big already. I need to find some time to publish it on one of my unused internet domains.

No, my file is much much much bigger than any counter file that can be created on ISI and Zaid Hamid. Speaking of Zaid Hamid, I ought to create a file for him too, with English translations of his speeches and interviews. I have created a blank file right now, and I will start filling it gradually as time permits.

glad you have all this free time on your hands, mr clown. Actually I'm quite jealous! Best of luck on your project, do keep me posted on your steadfast progress :)

Indians and many Pakistanis see zaid hamid as an entertainer.
India doesn't put every blame on ISI except terrorist attacks.

Can you say that about India??? For which incident in Pakistan and abroad in last few months India was not blamed?

1) Drought (dams in Kashmir)
2) Flood (dams in Kashmir and Afghanistan)
3) Baluchistan (Indian support)
4) TTP (Indian support)
5) Match fixing (through Indian bookie and ICC's Indian president)
6) Time square bomb plot (accused was a RAW man)
7) Flag-grabbing row (Chief de Mission falls in RAW trap)

So don't accuse us for what you are doing.

Cool guy as he is reported to laugh even now during trial.

I dont know what makes him laugh may be the alien language they speak and he is taking their argument as some kind of joke.

1) Muslims in India and Pakistan tie these "Mannat ka Dhaga" in dargahs and make taveez of these and tie around their hands and necks. I hope you know this. Perhaps Kasab, made a mannat to keep him safe and return back home! Well it did not go too well, now did it?

2) Urdu is mother tongue of approximately 7.57% Pakistanis. Thus it is safe to assume that not all pakistanis would be fluent in Urdu, some may even not know it. Source

3) Show proof of where he spoke in fluent Marathi. And please show credible proof, not some blogs or propaganda websites.

4) Ammo's and Guns would be carried in bags, not openly. That is why people at the hotel did not "see" the guns.

is there a reason why the indians want to keep him alive for so long? It's already been 2 years! indians established verdict, so fine be done with it already. Keeping him alive keeps attention on this silly subject alive as well maybe ;)

Proper trial must be held and justice has to take its course. Combine this with already crawling pace of Indian courts and you get an extremely long waiting period.
