Ajit Doval meets Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs Amir-Abdollahian in Tehran Chabahar .Afghanistan on agenda

No, my friend...If you are following the Iranian defense industry, they are quite advanced in drone technology like Turkey...India may depend on the West for the same, but it is not even a bad option if both nations collaborate with each other on this track.
No my friend if you followed indian defense industry, you would know we are not advanced (your claim not mine) in drone tech because indian armed forces didn't wanted one not because we are technologically behind them in any ways.

Even now Indian armed forces have focused on loitering munition and reconnaissance drones, it's not about technology it's about different priorities.

Sure both Iran and turkey have a huge variety of operational drones but technologically speaking we already have all of the drone related technologies they can possibly offer (so no sense in a technological collaboration), whether we are making good use of those technologies by inducting them en masse is a different story altogether.
From your write-up I can see you are not familiar with Iranian drones..the loitering drone that Russia buys from us is the lowest end of the Iranian drone lineup because they are meant yo be cheap and expandable..Our more higher end drones are delta wing stealth jet powered drones that travel thousands of kilometers capable of dropping precision guided bombs on targets...these drones have actual combat usage when Iran used them to bomb Mosad headquarters in Iraq hundreds of kilometers away..

Any way to topic is not who has bigger gun..it is about cooperation between the countries..
I agree I am not very familiar with Iranian drones however just to clarify I am in no way saying that Iranian drones are inferior or less capable (I am sorry if you felt that way) instead what I am saying is that India already has the technologies that go behind such drones and can make them independently if ever need be,
My intention of the earlier comment was that a possible collaboration in drone tech between India and Iran is very unlikely because Iran has no unique drone related technology (just to clarify drone related technology not drones) to offer to India.

And yes I agree we should collaborate more specially in the field of science and technology.
Wishing for an IIT branch in Tehran☺️☺️☺️☺️

Looks like China may also invest in Chahbahar. Gawadar is done and dusted per the sepoys' and their amreeka bahadur bosses' desire.

Look mate no offence but India is not behind Iran in drone technology if anything Indian drones are more advanced than their Iranian counterpart because of their access to western technology. India is behind in application of drone technology because of policy issue and corruption of armed forces, for quite a long time Indian armed forces were not interested in drones where as you guys placed your bets on drones.
Even today drones operated by Indian armed forces are mostly for reconnaissance, only recently have we started paying attention to loitering munitions and reconnaissance drones.
Which indigenous drone India has build and operationalised compared to Iran which is miles ahead in this tech?

For starters nagastra (recently ordered), ALS 50 (by tata), Tapas BH 201(70 ordered), swarm drones (by newspace technologies), swift ucav (mini version of Ghatak UCAV),

About the operationalization part Like I have explained in my earlier comment, Indian armed forces weren't interested in drones, it's only recently (less than 4 years) that the armed forces showed an interest in drones so this operationalization point is a moot, I am specifically talking about technological aspects of drone technology where India stands equally if not superiorly to Iran

The oil Afghanis sell can't be used in cars.
You are joking right? We are talking about Iranian Oil here.

I would love a collaboration between India and Iran in Space tech and Drone tech. Both can help each other in these two fields. It will be a give and take relationship between two countries with no masters and no slaves. The recent events in Ukraine war must have instilled confidence in Iran on India's clear cut path of non-alliance, non-interference, mutual benefits, self-sufficiency which bodes well with the policies of Iran regime.
It's not just technology, this can help build a more stronger regional cooperation. I think I did read a plan where, Russia and Iran are planning on a transit corridor from Russian through Iran that ends up finally by sea to India.

So many possibilities, but let's not jump the gun yet. One step at a time.

Secretly they will be discussing how to promote terrorism in neighboring countries.
