When I joined a bus tour from Melbourne CBD to the great ocean road. The local guide said, look outside, these car industry in the western suburbs will move out by 2017. And he told me, their solution was to resort to big housing projects... Their government is very shortsighted, only cares about they have provided some random short-term jobs during their term, never think about the country's long-term interests. New jobs for younger generations are mostly casual ones. Their GDP numbers look big, but just have a look at how they live, you will understand it's all hyped and fake.

I know that their high GDP is partly due to them not allowing a lot of foreign companies to come in. Walmart only recently came to Australia.

And they make the minimum hourly salary higher than their productivity. Industries are dying. But they can export more beef and cow to China. Their hay export to China is increasing dramatically.
