What's new

Agni-V to be tested twice this year, could be inducted by 2015

Read somewhere that some systems also use pressurised air/gas to eject missile out of canister .

Here is another video showing the cold launch .Video is of a failed S300 launch . Missile gets ejected out but the rocket engine does not fire .
This system works for smaller lighter missiles..But an Agni is much heavier than S-300 and such system wont work for Agni..

A5 is being developed as caniterised road/rail mobile missile .

It is rumored as the A5 canister.

Here is the K15 canister . It also does not have those equipment boxes , ducts on the outside and strengthening rings of metal .

This one looks odd..Is it the real thing or fan art?

A few dozen of these missiles scattered in the north and north east armed with multiple warheads will be needed asap. Apparently the PRC isnt too happy about one of their neighbours taking concrete steps in order to respond to expansionism.

Here is a another picture .It is the canister of sagarika ( naval shaurya) . So must be identical . It's a four-layered thermal protected R-Glass composite canister .

In no type of military strategy would a country deploy N-tipped strategic missiles close
to the border or close to a potential battlefield.

They are deployed only in classified locations around South and Central India.

From another angle it does have piped and a single girder attached as backbone...

what does it say in Hindi???

The pipe and the attachment are not part of the canister and looks like it is used to attach the canister to the ladder like structure .

This canister is different from any other canister I have seen . No strengthening rings which is seen in almost all other canisters

It says 'shaurya' in Hindi
