There are more missiles under K project other than K-4 and K-15. I heard about K-X somewhere, don't know any further about them. This project kept under wrap by DRDO.

The K15 project was not under wraps. It was revealed under the name 'sagarika' Somewhere in the early 2000s. The K4, I shall believe when it tests.

No. DRDO thought Agni 4 will just have extended range of Agni 4. Agni 3 already covers pakistan but not whole of china. Agni 5 will do the trick here.

I have seen the TEL of Sagarika and K-15 launcher when it was on DRDO website. But DRDO still don't officially mentioned about K project unlike Agni project. You will see lots of info about Shaurya while Sagarika and Shaurya are the same missile. But no mention of K missiles anywhere except news articles.

DRDO tested K-4 in Jan, 2010 and the sources are reliable.

Agni-III covers whole of China. It has range of 3500+ km with 2500 kg payload. While Agni-V is mainly to launch from canister, MIRV, more mobile platform, launching from southern India to the most north part of China with full payloads, above all new and more advanced technologies.

Agni-1 covers whole Pakistan, no need of Agni2/3.

Agni 3 can cover whole china,but when it is launched from near the border...
But AGni-V can cover whole china even launched from South india or anywhere in india....
And Agni V will have Anti-ABM tech....much accurate,whole lot of new pacakage..

Agni-1 and Prithvi-2 can cover whole of pakistan,no need to worry about it...

TEL of sagarika? You mean shaurya. Coz I believe the Sagarika is fired from an underwater pontoon.

Will the Agni V have MIRV technology? Will it utilize road mobile TELs?

These are two very important things for an effective deterrent.

It will eventually have but not in first test.. it will be done after some 3 -4 test.. the one you have mentioned is the highlight of the missile..

I would say, pay more attention to K4, K5 and KX over the Agni series.

i guess Agni-2 prime seems a part of k series program.. sadly it failed.. but hoping they strike back with success

What the hell does independent of the IGMDP mean? All then missiles are obviously based on the experience gained from the initial stages. And I'll be damned if all the scientists working on the newer series are also not the same. Maybe the designation is not the same. But it's as independent from the IGMDP as Iraq is from America
And btw the shaurya is highly supersonic. Wht you're referring to is the nirbhay

K series is developed based on the experience from the IGDMP program. The K series missiles are universal missile as they can be used from land and under water using a universal canister launcher. These missiles are more advanced, stealthy and deadly in comparison to the Prithvi or agni. The shouryas are already in production and even being deployed using underground silos.

from the big story of sandeep unnithan , K series missiles are being developed by DRDO staffs, but they report to ATV chief and the national security adviser. Prithvi and agni are under DRDO chief.

Well DRDO plans to test Agni V in September of this yr so lets see how it goes

As far as Agni III Induction is concerned , well the missile was declared ready for Induction in May 2010 itself
However full Regiment Level Induction will take time
As per My info Indian army recieved first batch of 3-4 Agni III Balistic Missiles in October-November

AND Strategic Nuclear command Plans to Raise one regiment of 40 Missiles each of Agni III and Agni V Ballistic missile , which is same as One regiment each of Agni I and Agni II apart from 2 Regiments of Prithvi I AND II which we currently operate

As far as K4 is concerned , well it is a SLBM with range of 3500-4500 Km depending upon Payload
The missile is being designed to carry either a single 200 Kt warhead or 4 smaller MIRV warhead of 25-50 Kt yield

Agni 2 Prime being developed will basically be an improved version of Agni 2 with Higher accuracy and easier storage and movability thanks to Cannister launch
