On a night training mission with one other F-16. Returning to Kamra AB to land suffered an engine failure forcing Squadron Leader Syed Hassan Raza to eject.

PAF 9 sqn F-16A Block 15T Details
On a night training mission with one other F-16. Returning to Kamra AB to land suffered an engine failure forcing Squadron Leader Syed Hassan Raza to eject.

Wrong info over there.

Aircraft was No. 14 squadron. Aircraft crashed right after takeoff. The details are incorrect on the website. A couple of pilots were walking over to their jets when they saw 85723 disappear behind the trees and crash. Hassan Raza ejected immediately. A few months later another one crashed that caused the entire fleet to be grounded for months.

Trust me on this. The pilots are not making this up. My grandparents saw the crash site with my father who was the operational IP there. The details on the web are wrong. So go easy with the Donald Trump behaviour and reply to me as a man.

I believe no new f16 are coming I think paf decided to understrength some existing squadron to squeeze out another understrength f16 squadron

18 blk 52 one squadron
13 f16 adf in one squadron
Remaining 45 mlu f16 divided into 3 squadrons

That is how paf will get 5 f16 squadron hence this new squadron

If this sqn is part of ccs then it’s one flight 8-10 Ac aggressor training sqn but with full strength pilots half instructor and half ccs trainees

Same goes for mirage, jf and f-7 sqn part of ccs, so now f-16 dedicated css sqn will be activated ? Guessing

Assuming as pak and US now helping in Afghan peace process may release some equipment if not aircraft or Ac via third country like in Jordan in the past

But looks like paf not very keen as jf is now taken over as most prevalent Ac in paf and capabilities as good as f-16 minus range but that’s a diff of few hundred

85725 that crashed in Oct of that year was also due to engine failure and might have been due to non-OEM part or parts used during engine maintenance. Remember this was the time when Pressler Amendment related sanctions were taking the most toll on the F-16s

That is correct. But according to a pilot who was on duty it happened just after takeoff. An entire hut was on fire. Sanctions were on for new aircraft, not for spare parts.

The rest of 45 MLU are divided into two squadrons and Aggressor is being formed from these 45 MLU.

Aggressors are not primarily combat squadron. 7 or 9 F-16's will do the job. plus other types could be inducted in longer run.
