I pity those who think that Kashmiri people in IOK were better off with Article 370 in place. Autonomy was a sham. They were oppressed then and they will remain oppressed even after its revocation. Our bottom line of Kashmir cause is the same. Nothing has changed. Entire Kashmir (Azad, J&K & Ladakh) was, is and will remain an integral part of the greater Pakistan in our books. All the hoopla of blind advance on the valley is not in our interest especially not the Kashmiri people. War with India at this time is possible but not necessary.
The Major losers of any war are the poor civilians. They are the unavoidable collateral damage. In any of the following cases, Kashmiris on both sides of the LOC will suffer the most;
- In case the all-out war breaks out, Kashmiri people will suffer mass casualties and injuries.
- In case of insurgency, good for nothing Indian Security forces will take it out on unarmed Kashmiri people in IOK because it is easy.
- In case of mass protests, unarmed Kashmiris in IOK will face the brutality of cowardly Indian security forces (which has already begun).
Kashmir, right now, is a meat grinder for the Kashmiri Muslims only. Indian security forces beat, rape and kill them with impunity while their own families are safe and secure at their home states. With the inflow of outsiders in Kashmir, there are two advantages for Pakistan;
- Infiltration will become comparatively easier.
- Indian Security forces had it easy for decades but now they will have the additional burden of securing soft targets.
Right now the only sufferers in IOK are the Muslims. We are facing an enemy who plays dirty so I say let Hinduwadis settle the pandits and there will be soft targets to inflict pain on Hindus. Loss of loved ones will make them understand the gravity of the situation and they will soon find out that their long-awaited dream of settling in the Hindus to change the demography of IOK, is not so easy to fulfil.
