What MQM tried to do was to have an alliance with Sindhis (PPP) , we live on the Sindhs lands and they are our neighbours after years of misunderstandings there was a chance to establish good terms and understandings , but i think the badmaash nature of sindhi waderas (PPP's ministers) remained a hurdle after all these years. In return MQM won good candidates like Nabeel Gabol also won extra seat from interior sindh. This influence with ethinic sindhis will help mediate relations and will make them think beyond whats fed to them over the years. Its a hard job to rescue people from the clutches of feudal lords .. May be muttahida will grow from sindh , read hassan nisars recent article talking about the MQM phenomena
