After Balakot, Army Would Have Retaliated If Pakistan Had Hit Ammo Dump

it was a wise move by pakistanis not to target ammo dump .
It was a proportional response - hit nothing in exchange for the IAF hitting nothing, but target close enough to the ammo dump to send a clear message about what would happen were the Indians to engage in a military provocation that actually caused damage.

Every Pakistani knows now that we should have gone weapons free that day. We could have wrecked their ammo dump and bipin would have done nothing. Guaranteed.

Why would he have done nothing? Because we had his coordinates and he would be toast.

In an interaction today, senior army sources said if the Pakistani Air Force had indeed struck an ammunition depot that appeared to be one of their targets, the Indian army would have vigorously responded.

We are prepared for a response along the retaliatory matrix, Army Chief Bipin Rawat said

New Delhi:

The Indian Army would have retaliated if the Pakistan Air Force had succeeded in hitting the ammunition dump it targeted on the Rajouri-Poonch sector on February 27, a day after India struck a terror training camp in Pakistan's Balakot. This could have brought the two nuclear-armed neighbours precariously close to a full-blown war.

A day earlier, the Indian Air Force had carried out strikes on the terror training camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in Balakot. Reacting to this, the Pakistan Air Force launched "Operation Swift Retort", where they appeared to miss their targets, which were military installations in the Rajouri-Poonch sector along the Line of Control.

The Pakistan Air Force claims it deliberately missed the targets to send India a strong message of its capability. The Indian military establishment has always argued that the Pakistani Air Force simply missed their targets.

You're absolutely right. Maj Gen. Asif Ghafoor has Class.

This jerkoff Bi-Pin is still talking about Balakot/PAF Response after 10 Months. I mean, these statements could've been made the very next day, next week or the following month.

But yeah, I guess you could give him a slide as right after the events that led to the 27th of Feb., Bi-Pin needed an extended vacation as he feels that he certainly earned it.

I do wonder what Medal/Title he plans on giving himself as India appears to be the only Nation that awards for failure.

very nicely put :toast_sign:

If PAF did not hit the ammo dump then why not you showing the impact zone of those bombs.. Why u monkey hiding those locations?? Why did not you arrange visit for local media until today..??

So now the good General is admitting that PAF struck but because the ammo dump was not hit hence no need to retaliate? Someone should ask why did the airforce reacted losing out two jets? Why did the Air defence reacted shooting down their own helicopter in a fratricide?
It seems the general hasnt come out of the post 27th Feb shock. As for Indian army retaliation they would had to retaliate without a chief had PAF taken out the dump.
