Cowardice... !
I had respect for him as PM despite the puppetry business until he said the words paraphrased: "I lost the file. Why am I responsible?". He may be a hard worker clearing 300 files a month. But he is a moun muni at the time corruption is rearing its ugliest heads with record sizes of scams. He cannot just close his eyes and say I am honest. Being where he is takes responsibility, which he did not show. Instead he took advantage of his 'clean image' to provide cover for coal scammers, RTI blockers and convicted MPs. That is unforgivable. If a man needed Rahul Gandhi to tell him that convicted MPs' ordinance is nonsense, how can I be not ashamed of him as my PM?Seriously...Internet particular type of people responsible for him image in India. He was really great man.

And neither did India achieve wonders on ground. One thing I would be thankful for is the eradication of polio.

There are mistakes, He must be in same level as Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Who presided a corrupt government.

" Goongi Gudiya " is better phrase to describe him ....
Vajpayee was a statesman ....there may have been corruption allegations on his cabinet colleagues . and some may have ben genuine corruption scams ....
But no way MMS can ever be compared to Vajpayee ...
Vajpayee singlehandedly changed the course of history of India ....
He defended Raja over 2G for 1 full year ... till SC took note and harsh steps ...
and was shameless to even say later that he had to do it because of Coalition dharma ....
Most pathetic of all PMs India had so far ....
Like rajani kanth?
Like MMS was tied because of congress parivar. Vajpayee was tied by Sangh Parivar. Both gave us corrupt government. His government shamelessly released terrorists. His government finanance minister was called "rollback minister". His government had to get approval from Sangh Parivar for every thing. He was a drunk even when high profile delegates visited. His another minister also was in same state. (Mr.Brijesh Mishra). His partyement prevented investigation of 2g scam originated from his tenure. Advani had more power than him.
Its pathetic to say one has done only mistakes another created history!
That said, I would say if one respected him, I dont mind. One respect him and insult MMS...no thats injustice.
The reasons I have always liked this man- has integrity, class and goes about his business in a quiet and dignified manner- working harder than most of us do now, for him in his late 70s it's nothing short of spectacular.
Perhaps, he isn't and never was cut out for Indian politics but that does't mean he is a bad guy or has any reason to be personally attacked.
But then person with house of glass must not throw stone to others.. He had attacked Modi on personal grounds... What happened in most of the part of UPA 2 was payback by his opponents...Indeed, but I think personal attacks are a bit low, at his work and what not but not on a personal level-name calling and the such.
Is it? What is the India ranking in economy now?

If MMS had even an ounce of self respect, he would have shot himself. Or at least resigned.
Let him speak -
1. Muslims should have the first right to India's resources
2. Coal files nahi mil rahe. Meri zimmedari nhi hain...
3. Theek hai!!!
Yeah thanks MMS for presiding over the most corrupt government in history.
Pretty much at the bottom in terms of gdp per capita...
