Afghan refugees come up with eight demands

Yes, you are correct sir.With that they need to gradually send the refugees back to their actual land.And coordinate with the Afghan government in the process of their settlement.
Pakistan can (or should) continue to support afghan students and patients via suitable visa/ permits.

Let the settlement of the refugees be their problem. Let Pakistan concentrate on gaining effective control over access across its western border to improve its own internal security.

It's very much understandable sir that the settlement process is their problem.

But IMHO we can approach it a bit differently.And, actually make a "difference".
We'll be helping ourselves and the Afghans of course at the same time.
With 30 plus years it's beyond doubt that there is a certain category of people who are born here and they have their attachment with this society and the country (regardless of the background and their opinion about the native country of their parents).

The migration has potential to turn your life upside down.Anything that Pakistan might have learned from the partition is that the migration of masses is a painful process.Even if there is no fear of bloodshed.The financial cost can be huge.

UNHCR stats mention that there are some 80,000 refugees in Karachi only.Karachi is not located near Pak-Afghan border and neither it's a part of the tribal region.So, what conclusion can we draw out of it?
Only that they saw an opportunity to earn money , thanks to their hosts' cordial behavior.Instead of becoming a total burden they tried to use their earning capacity to afford a decent lifestyle with some honest effort.
This does not change their status of being a refugee though.

Bottomline : since their period of stay is spanned over decades.So, most of them may have developed a sort of attachment and dependence.All of that can be used to our own advantage, if for sometime we can keep our emotions aside and try to understand and work out our options with the Afghan government and the UNHCR to show our commitment in settling/resettling them back in Afghanistan.We can make their and our lives easier.
It's right on our part that we have made a decision to send them back.
But to be committed for 30 plus years and then one day saying ,"Talaq Talaq ,Talaq" in one breath, when you see that you can't afford their burden anymore is rather extreme.Something as a gift to help that particular category that can help them in any way is all i'm trying to mention here.This can be our reply to their demands.Showing our commitment and resolve in what we want.

I can appreciate what you are suggesting here, but in my view it is not very likely. Pakistan may have been a good host, but the Afghani guests may not be as benevolent in reciprocating the good faith shown to them. This charade needs to end for Pakistan to control its internal milieu. Otherwise the security challenges will remain, today's blast being a case in point.

I see a new trend here. Every few months 2-3 new afghan posters join for a day or two and then dissapear.
