Afghan-Pakistan Relations After Rabbani Assassination

.
I once saw an American accusing a Pakistani of terrorism.. I think that American was their chief of staff and the Pakistani was your chief of Army.. And your President still asks for better relations with them and appeals that they should talk more :)

So does it prove a point.. ??

yes, accusing doesnt meaning proving

Post reported.

Report all you want.

The current Afghan regime will of course like to blame Pakistan's for all its troubles, to hide their failure that more than 72% of Afghanistan supports the Taliban, the rightful Afghan regime.

The Al-Qaeda & their affiliates fighting alongside the Taliban to overthrow the Afghan regime (IMU & others) are mainly non-Pashtun, including Uzbeks & others. They are given refuge & protection by the Pashtun Taliban. Rabbani himself, who was negotiating with the Taliban was a Tajik himself. This is not an ethnic problem, it's a puppet regime propped up by invaders that has little legitimacy in the eyes of the people.

2+2=4.

I only said that based on this evidence:

Taliban courts more popular than 'corrupt' Karzai government in Afghanistan

Taliban better than Karzai? – Afghanistan Crossroads - CNN.com Blogs

The Taliban — Infoplease.com

You forget to see that I mentioned this as well in my other post:

You can say whatever you want, I've on numerous threads in this thread condemned the Taliban terrorism in Afghanistan, or terrorism in India & other countries as well.

Its only Natural that the corrupt NA blames Pakistan for its woes.We must not forget that that they were Anti-pakistan to start with.No matter how you see taliban right now,you cannot deny that during the civil war ,the taliban were extemely popular with the afghans ,who rejected the corrupt greedy warlords such as Massoud ,Dostum and co.It wasnt only pakistan but iran (supporting wadhat) ,uzebks with Junbushi and India took Mossoud's side.Since the taliban were more popular and had a robust militia (they even had migs back then) they won.

The recent announcement by the obama administration ,that despite setbacks the troop withdrawl will go as planned has served as a serious to blow to the afghan war.30,000 troops are to withdraw by next summer .The troop surge strategy has clearly failed ,theyre have been more deadly attacks this year

The Taliban only have to wait till the US presence is reduced.I dont believe that a 300,000 strong ANA can counter the same Taliban that a 130,000 US/Isaf have been struggling to.After the US pulls out a chunk of its forces.Taliban will claim victory and will gain popularity and the NA will be left branded traitors who served the invaders , just like najibullah.Afghanistan will drift into civil war again.

Good for afghanistan.....but in the end the mayor of kabul will have to visit Islamabad.

Call him mayor of " Presidential palace " !!! Will ya ? His power extends not beyond his own palace so calling him mayor of Kabul is simple not true :P

Excellent.

Better to dispense with the duplicity and double talk of Karzai and the Afghan puppet government. There was never any doubt these guys were installed by NATO precisely as a pro-India regime. The whole reason NATO had to step in and invade Afghanistan in the first place was because India lost the proxy war with the Taliban v/s Northern Alliance.

Remember, the Taliban offered to extradite OBL but NATO was hell-bent on invasion.

How lucky of India to have such friends as usa,NATO who will risk their credibility to serve India and that too free of cost.....

Where do the Paks get these ideas...!!!

Wrong. The common Pakistani doesn't care what happens in Afghanistan (who comes into power), as long as Afghan terrorists do not cross the border & start blowing up places in Pakistan, or cause political/social unrest in FATA/KPK in the name of Pashtunistan.

Is it...? Then you should be supporting the northern alliance who recognize Durand line as ib rather than Taliban who don't recognize the Durand line

Cant believe you lot still discussing this thread. dont you understand afghans dont have a govt. There are american lapdogs that wont last a day when americans are gone

Lol.... Loved the pak reaction in this thread.....a mixture of shock,confusion,denial,self-grandeur..you name it and you got it.....:D

...and the indian reaction was hilarious too.A mixture of Delusion (that US and Nato will not abandon NA like they did back in 1996) and overestimation (about the puny role that india can play in afghanistan as the NA begin to crumble).

Didn't I say...? This is the self grandeur I was talking about...but then I understand it...after all according to the Paks afg is their playground and any decision for Kabul must be taken from pindi...

Anyone up for a PHD on this?

Really hilarious. Shows the extent to which people are obsessed with India.

So NATO invaded Afghanistan to install the NA "precisely as a pro-India regime"!

The whole WOT was fought precisely for the benefit of India against the only "major non Nato ally" in the region!
