Taliban must make understandings with Iran, cooperation between Iran and Afganistan is wise, so taliban must behave and have good relations with Iran.

Iran and its proxies can fight for sure. Hezbollah defeated Israel in a war in 2006 and Houthi stalemated Saudi-led coalition in a war since 2015 (Saudi-led coalition is lacking in quality troops). But there is a limit to this side as well.

1. Israel has developed new capabilities to fight a war by now as noted in here. Israel has also attacked Hezbollah and Iranian assets in Syria with impunity as noted in here. And you can also see what is left of Palestine in the present. Tragic but Israel's warfighting capability cannot be underestimated and one state solution should be applied at earliest. Throwing rockets at Israel is a tried, tested, and failed strategy.

2. US-backed SDF defeated ISIL in Syria. Kurd are the uncelebrated heroes of this war in fact.

3. Iran supported Muqatada al-Sadr's Mehdi militia during Iraqi insurgency phase in the (2004 - 2008) period. US-led forces defeated Mehdi militia as noted in here, here, and here. Muqtada al-Sadr fled to Iran in 2007 due to safety concerns; he returned to Iraq in 2011 when Obama administration had withdrawn NATO from Iraq in view of a seemingly improved Iraqi security environment. Muqtada is a popular Iraqi politician as of late.

American move to eliminate Saddam regime in Iraq and refusal to counter Houthi in Yemen have made it possible for Iran to expand its geopolitical clout in the Middle East. It remains to be seen what US is willing to do further in the region.

Iraq was drawing much attention due to Saddam regime. Now Iran is drawing much attention due to its intervention in Syria and nuclear program. Let's see.

It is sensible to be humble and strive for peaceful solutions to regional conflicts. Things are in motion and one should learn from the mistakes of others. But human egotism and neverending urge to gloat...

Mr Razegh is an Afghan analyst and reporter he is not against Tabilan nor pro them. He says casualties of Taliban was 12 deaths and 36 injuries and casualties of Iran was 1 death and 2 injures :

Around 10 million Afghan live in Iran and most of Afghans love Iran. In addition majority of Afghanis don't like Taliban or extremist groups

US could easily destroy Taliban and other extremist groups within a week, however they didn't do to make trouble for Afghanistan and other Persian speaking countries and avoid unity between these western and Middle Asian countries which doesn't favor them

US wants problems for Iran, Pakistan, China, Russia and Middle Asian countries for decades

They don't want developed & strong Muslim countries

The root of every bloodshed & extremist in Muslim countries directly or indirectly is the US
