Bab-e-Dosti remains closed on 12th consecutive day (29th August)
CHAMAN: The Bab-e-Dosti remained closed on 12th consecutive day at the Chaman border. A spokesman from the Chaman Chamber of Commerce said that due to closure of the gate, traders have to use the Torkham border, which is increasing their expenses. Owing to the closure of Bab-e-Dosti, NATO supply, transit trade, bilateral trade and all movement has been suspended. On the other hand, the deadlock persists in Pak-Afghan border forces on reopening of the friendship gate. The authorities said that the senior Pak-Afghan officials would decide about the reopening of Bab-e-Dosti.
Conclusion: After pelting stone and burning our flag a simple apology is taking too much time. In my opinion the Afghans are not getting much effected by this and they will do something like this again in future even if we open the gate.
So, We should close all Border Gates with them.
