Additional F-16s for Pakistan May Hit Hurdles

.
Eq seems very difficult If for instance we speed up our production for F17 it will be 24 for next 5 years we will see not more than 150 total (Since Export orders are also there) . So force will look like

Till 2020
100 -120 F16 (AMLU/BMLU , C/D)
150 (Inshallah all Block 3)
------------------------------------------------
250

Remaining 100 will be tricky ones
Mirages (3/5) 50
F7PG 40

So technically we will be requiring 90 planes additional to what we can get realistically .For 50 Mirages 36 Flankers SU-35 can do a good job .F7 PG should continue for 5 years and we can start replacing them with 5th Gen 50 .Real worry for me is replacement of F16`but it will be around 2030 + .I think we shoudl not worry what we really need is like 90 planes .If we are able to induct 100 FC31 that will be some force to reckon with

F7s and Mirage 3/5 can retire in parallel to Mig 21s. Older blocks of F16s and JFTs can handle Mig 29s and Mirage 2ks. SU30s can only be handled by newer blocks of F16s. The main challenge is to have something for 200+ SU30s. Retiring F7s and Mirages 3/5 should not be an urgency as long as there are Mig 21s on the other side.

I read somewhere that LM is pushing for more sales to Pakistan bcoz they are not getting new order after 36 Iraqi
f-16s, and if they dont get more order from somewhere then they have to close f-16 production line, which they dont want yet.

.
Here they again with their endless indian rants until a kick to their balls...........for a brief pause

Given the noise that India made for those 8 F16s, any additional F16s for Pakistan in present circumstances is just a dream

.
It would be interesting to see how donald trump handle pakistan f16 sale, he will eventually pass sale , but i m more curious about the leverage..

.
the sale of JUST 8 F16s which without a shadow of a doubt brought the attention of the world to the melodrama by the injuns, was the real Oscar worthy performance. With the lobbying, spending money on senators of both parties to have them sing their tune was completely undermined by the US establishment. The Bill of sale was to be opposed and the injun members told us on this very forum NO WAY Jose no F16 we own the US! But the exact opposite happened.

I suppose You can 'buy' senators because they Need funding so it is understandable, you can lobby, use langur monkeys, use media hype and propaganda. But if the US establishment; Pentagon, says otherwise then that is the way it will be they don't need foreign funding they take money as and when it pleases them from the treasury.

I will watch with popcorn the next hurdle for 10 F16's :pop:

It is not just a push but Pakistan is one of the best customers for LM due to the operating of F-16s since 80s and remains in good book as well. So also heard about some special agreement and more benefits to the customer/user which surpasses many restrictions in respect of service after sale, when a user crosses or reaches the number 100 of F-16s.

@Windjammer Boss, your words please.

The fact is while India is spending millions to pay for lobbying against these deals, in the words of vice president of LM, his company is doing all the biddings for PAF....the reason, even USAF Commanders have acknowledged and commended for it's selection of the package, more over who wouldn't want to see their product in capable hands.... for how many air forces can boast of such achievement.

Pakistani F-16s reach 100,000 accident free flight hours
