Israel is a UN-recognized state and a nuclear power on top. Geopolitical dynamics of the Middle East are also changing over time. Al-Qaeda Network, ISIS and Saddam regime = these entities no longer exist to preoccupy US. Iran and its militias are on the radar now.

They are trying to set up the Palestinians and force through a resolution completely in favour of the Israelis

They are using the current near worthless self serving arab leaders as a tool to put pressure upon the Palestinians

The Palestinians have not only not been consulted at all but against international law declarations have been made by the U.S in favour of israel
