1. how was my house ( me being a socialist ) protected by the indian military participating ( or almost participating ) in nato regime-change wars in korea, iraq and libya??
2. how is my house ( me being a socialist ) protected by the indian military becoming the largest importer of armaments and keeping its 65-year-old alliance with nato??
3. are the outsider robbers any different from the internal robbers?? were dhabolkar, pansare and kalburgi assassinated by outside robbers?? was shah bano done injustice by outside robbers?? was jyoti singh tortured to near-death by outside robbers?? do outside robbers do "honor killing" here?? do the farmers here suicide from being forced to it by outside robbers??
you see, i have said before that the indian military should drastically reduce its numbers and weaponary and become a security force, a police force, that not only guards the borders but also ensures a progressive society inside of the borders... sadly, there seem to be no visible socialist/progressive elements in the indian military.
but there was one indian navy retired admiral who used to write for the "asian age"... he had progressive and anti-establishment views... he should have taken up leadership for national change when he was serving.
the chinese military has reduced soldier numbers by 300,000 (
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/09/03/w...-as-it-gears-up-for-military-parade.html?_r=0 )... india ( and pakistan ) should follow.
the militaries of syria, venezuela, dprk and cuba defend socialist systems... the military of egypt overthrew reactionaries and is proceeding towards achieving progressivism in egypt... the military of russia protects a system that generally counters nato hegemony... what kind of internal state and social system is the indian military protecting?? one that propagates capitalism, reactionary attitudes and oppression?? obviously a wrong system to protect and obviously a opportunity for the military to adopt progressivism and work with the progressive movements to initiate change.
