Pakistan imports more A100 MLRS from China

A source from the Pakistani military industry told Kanwa that Pakistan signed a contract to purchase A100 MRLS from China’s CPMIEC in 2007. The initial procurement is a battalion-level A100 system primarily for testing purpose, and additional import is also possible pending the needs of the military. This is the first time that A100 MLRS is exported to a foreign country. Analysts from the South Asian military industry believe that Pakistan’s procurement of A100 is intended to respond to India’s acquisition of Russian SMERCH MLRS.
