There are a lot differences between General Musharraf and General Raheel Shareef.

Gen R.S conducted his tenure professionally like few COAS's of the 90's. He was exemplary in setting standards focusing on the ground realities, improving outcomes for Pakistan mired with extremism and planned internal security efforts. Pakistan witnessed a slump in terrorist-related activities within the country compared with the previous years, seeing 45 percent fewer attacks and 38 percent fewer deaths due to terrorism with him as COAS. Seamlessly initiating the operations of CPEC was another step and setting up LID structure for security. This was a new type of formation in the Army. Above all, no political ambitions like Musharraf. The operations started by Gen RS faced lesser scrutiny (internally and religiously) as he handled the MO Dte and political figures quite diligently than Musharraf. Gen RS also brought back Army's reputation in good graces that had been flawed by Musharraf. These are just a few things, Gen RS did many more. Regarding Musharraf, he had positive aspects but his political ambitions ruined Pakistan and Army.

The professional conduct of COAS is based on many merits, including handling of military and security situations, expansion of forces, acquisition of newer weapons etc.

Marnay k baad Rab ko bhi yehi jawab dena, k wardi walon ne rok liya tha achay kaam karnay se, warna mein to mard e momin tha. Please this is lame. I hope your excuses help you in the grave and judgement day.

Islam se bhi kuch nai seekha ? making a queue, not giving bribes, telling truth, staying honest, not stealing, not cutting corners, etc. None of this exists in Pakistani public.

How ironic of you!

I am curious what would your answer be would it go something like this; People of Pakistan paid us to protect them from internal and external enemies little did they know we were the biggest threat Pakistan faced,

This is not true. Some people from Pakistan armed forces are corrupt. But the thing is, the are not the only ones, neither they are leaders of corruption in Pakistan.
Its a complex affair, and I have written on it on multiple occasions.

You know what is the real issue of Pakistan? Pakistan in its true form poses great challenges to the new world orders. Our leaders are, and always were incapable of handling those complex conditions. Now, what we resolved to do is to weaken Pakistan and never let that beast in Pakistan to come out.

But its my believe, one day that beast will come out and play its role in world politics. That day, people of Pakistan will be the happiest and our leadership will be the best.

Aameen.

Gill open to issuing apology over controversial remarks, counsel tells Islamabad court in sedition case

August 29, 2022

Embattled PTI leader Shahbaz Gill is ready to clear any misunderstandings and apologise over his controversial remarks regarding the army, his counsel informed a sessions court in Islamabad on Monday.

Gill was arrested on August 9 after he made controversial remarks allegedly about the army during an ARY News bulletin and has been detained since, amid claims of him being subjected to torture and sexual abuse during custody.

Last week, an Islamabad district and sessions rejected a police request for another extension of seven days in Gill’s physical remand, following which his lawyer, Faisal Chaudhry, filed a post-arrest bail petition in a sessions court on his client’s behalf.

Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal presided over the hearing today for the bail application in which Gill's co-counsel, Burhan Muazzam, acknowledged that Gill's comments had caused a misunderstanding, adding that his client was ready to dispel it.

"Shahbaz Gill is ready to apologise as well but who gave [them] the right to frame a sedition charge after targeting various points," Muazzam said, adding that Gill had never even thought of treason.

Gill's counsel concluded his arguments, after which the prosecution also wrapped up its arguments.

The judge reserved the verdict on Gill's bail application and adjourned the hearing till tomorrow, with the decision to be announced at 11am.

sir if RS was patriotic or sincere Zardari/shareef would be hanged but here we are rulled by them!
You can't just point blank shoot political leaders dead and ignite a civil war. Army's job is to prevent that. The last thing an Army gen. can do right, is act as a judge, jury and execution.
