But they need real leaders to negotiate with the government, so far just grassroots activists who maybe able to hold large gatherings but not much else, yes women should be part of the leadership because right now they are the face of it, but you need men to be at the forefront or Iranian leadership will never bow down to the women demands because they believe it will destroy their credibility with hardliners in the government

The mullahs lose the plot. Instead of announce investigation Into the mystery death of the young 22 years old Kurdish girl under detention. They brush it off and expect mass Iranian to shove it down their throat over such death.

They are too overconfident and over optimistic of their support in Iran.

You got a good point..however totalitarian régimes usually have total hold of power so much so that they are used to brushing aside such things and nothing else happening..
The thing is for such regimes you can never know when their downfall will come from. Just look at the Arab spring, who could have imagined that a simple poor fruit seller in Tunisia takibg his life will bring about the fall of Strong regimes like Ben Ali of Tunisia, Mubarak of Egypt, Gaddafi of libya, Saleh of Yemen and if not for Russia and Iran intervening to save their puppet Assad he too would have been deposed like the others etc and change the fate of the entire region just by self immolating himself.
So such regimes appear strong on the surface (just like the Shah regime) but can also crumble as fast as a house of cards or when there is a major social unrest, most times it happens over little things and when we least expect it. Lol Can only wait and see in future..bound to happen, the only question is when/how.

Well thats what happens when you jave a fundamentalist government who came to power through religious revolution. What do you expect them to do? They came to power by proclaiming the rise of an Islamic state and rule by Islam. So obviously the government needs to be involved in their peoples life and make sure rhey abide by religiius conduct. If not whats the point lf the religious revolution and claiming ti be an Islamic state ?
Let them carry on with their religious rule/laws. If the people dont like it then they should rise up and topple the Mullahs the way they did with the shah. Eventhough i know it will be far more complex and harder to do so because the mullah regime has tens (if not hundreds ) of thousands of basijis,religious police, army command around the country to make sure the people stay in line.
