You know Nihonjin why the today Japanese government still has the responsibility for what they did in WW2? Because basically you're still lead by the same government as the Imperial Japanese in WW2. You still have Emperor. And your current Emperor is the son of the Japanese Emperor of WW2. So that mean, Imperial Japan is still there. Even if you said that he's just a symbol, but he still the head of your country.

That is different to what happen in German. Nazi is no more. So the current German is no longer the same as the third reign.

If you want to clear / cut the ties to the Imperialism Japan of WW2, dethrone your Emperor, and become a fully republic. Or if you still fancy of having an Emperor, choose another Emperor. And then you don't have any ties to the Empire who bring your people to the disaster in the WW2.

No, what I am saying is that why is one "version" open to criticism and not the other "versions"?
Because one version was the aggressor while the other version was a defender of peace. It is that simple. Allied was the good guy, defending to keep the world safe of fascism while the Axis represents the darkness, wanting to brutally enslaved the world through aggression.

Well.......The problem is not history written by victor, or how sad it is for what happened in China by the Japanese. The question is about freedom of information.

Everyone entitle to his/her own point, you may not believe, echo, agree on their point, but people have the right to express themselves and express their view.

What if @Nihonjin1051 is a right wing extremist and a strong supporter to imperial japan and all its glory? It does not change anything a bit. You may have a different view on the subject matter, but that does not mean you can tell him to shut the hell up.

I don't think what Japanese did in WW2 is justified, I too had family member killed fighting the Japanese, but that does not mean he (@Nihonjin1051 cannot have his own view. If you were offended by his post. You have to remember, you don't need to read it in the first place. You can register your disgust and move on.

I fought in Iraq, and Afghanistan, I saw many people died (US, Coalition, Iraqi Civilian, Afghani Civilian) by the hand of insurgency and Taliban, I hate those people, that does not give me the right to shut someone up because they have a different view than me, as you see here many people think it was the US fault to go into Iraq and Afghanistan in the first place, did you see me go up there and challenge him?

A people should be allowed to respect their dead ones. No matter what race or nationality they were. If the Victors (UK, USA, USSR) are allowed this (and they were the biggest murders and oppressors on Earth), surely the vanquished should be allowed this.

Stop your BS. We Chinese are also allowed to respect our dead ancestors killed by Japanese, that's why we have to tell the truth of Japanese war history rather than refurbished fake history records.

Well, don't blame the Japanese, just their imperialism Government. We shouldn't become a racist just because their grandpa were cruel as a devil. It is the government that take responsiblity for what their army did in WW2. Not their people. The Japanese were also suffer thanks to their Emperor and War Criminals.

I curse Tojo and Hirohito, I also dislike Abe. but I don't hate Nihonjin, Risa Tachibana, Sora Aoi, and the others. They are just innocent as we are. Don't let the hatred make you worse than those criminals. We, Hua Ren are better than that.

But don't worry, that Imperial Japan is still exist. We can curse them as much as we want.

Wow, if Pol pot still in power in Cambodia, Im sure he would hire u as an advisor and help him to make ppl to respect his idea.

Bad thing was that we simply wipe out the whole Khmer Rouge army, killed and send all of its leaders to the tribunal, so we dont have to hear their ' different view' any more :)

Compared to his Majesty's army, Nazi Germany army behaved like gentlemen. Nazi Germany basically only targeted Jews and at least killed them as human beings. His Majesty's army targeted eveyone and killed people as killing animals.

Tell that to the Russians! I am pretty sure that they will NOT agree with you. I also guess you have no knowledge about the crimes the Nazis committed against non-Jews such as crimes against ethnic Poles.

It seems that your lot only see the Japanese war-crimes against the Chinese as the only "true" war-crime, whereas the way you "mock" other countries' war-crimes, it seems it is just a laughing matter, only to mention it in a trivial manner.

But why the f*** I am saying this, you Chinese all have free passes to be as insulting as you can be. :blah:

When Nazi Germany killed people, they thought about efficiency; When his majesty's army killed people, they thought about fun and cruelty.

Wow, I didn't know that ideology-driven killings equate to being "efficient". I guess the same can be said about the CCP-PLA. :coffee:

Why not spend a night in a firing range, complete with a firing squad, or stay inside a gas chamber while someone fills it with chemical gas, I am sure you would have a nice experience of Nazi-efficiency. :coffee:

Many Japanese politicians still refer warmly to India's declaration of mourning at the demise of Emperor Showa in 1989. In the picture: Emperor Showa, Empress Kojun and Crown Prince Akihito (standing) with Vice President Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan who was on a goodwill visit to Japan in October 1956.
