I don't think he will ever accept any such medal from the enemy country..

Agreed once the Kashmir issue is resolved, Pakistan and India relationship will be like that of the US and UK.

I want to add that in start Qaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah didnt consider seperate homeland option for the muslims of India, but the was a through and dediacted congress member. But with time he saw rude behaviour in congress on rights and Jinnah sahib didnt se any other solution then Pakistan, but even then he talked about relations like Canada and USA:

Its sad that Indian occupation om Jammu & Kashmir have led to record bad relationship between people of South Asia.

Give that Pakistan officer multiple entry visa for life.If his fathers need help,he can expect the best of doctors to help his father.

Cheap shot. May I suggest you delete it? At least have the graciousness to accept the acts of an officer and a gentleman.

Well if this story is true then we certainly need to train our enlisted men emotionally and mentally. Trying to kill an enemy combatant who has already surrendered and is helpless goes against all norms

It happened in Saurabh Kalia case too. But then, that is war. Crazy things happen.

Dont want to make its a D**k measuring contest......dont disrespect the man because of your ego

You made it with stupid comment of yours.

"We witnessed an incredible sight during our early morning train trip from Delhi to Jalandhar. On both sides of the track, one vast open air toilet ran for miles and miles. There was no consternation as pigs and dogs rummaged around and trains whistled past. It was also sad to see humans degraded to the level of animals."

You won't find that in Pakistan.

That is how one comes to know an errant ignorant rant:

ISLAMABAD: More than 40 million people in Pakistan do not have access to a toilet, forcing them to defecate in the open, which in turn is a major contributor to stunting in the country, a top Unicef official said.

“There are 41 million people who do not have access to a toilet in Pakistan and as a result they are defecating in the open. And open defecation has significant health and nutritional consequences,” said Geeta Rao Gupta, deputy executive director at Unicef.

She recently spoke to the AP during a trip to Pakistan to draw attention to the problem.

“Open defecation is a major contributor to stunting and that's why we've got to do all we can to stop it,” she said. The problem can spread disease and lead to intestinal infections, which can contribute to stunting in young children, she said.

Doesn't happen in Pakistan it seems.

In my informed opinion, it is rather shameful that we, that is India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, have continuously failed as nation states to be able to address the most basic of our citizen's needs and failed to provide the basic services and infrastructure to be able to trumpet ourselves as nation states.

However, one of the most striking component of this is the ignorance or a tendency to live in denial (hence adopt a defensive reaction in the process), which merely perpetuates the problem. When that is the national conscience, the results remain abysmal towards meeting the goals of good governance.

you are comparing an enlisted soldier (a high school graduate) with highly trained fighter pilot
unless the commanders/officers set the rules jawans on both sides will torture and kill prisoners.

Good story. Its sad that its bad relationship between India and Pakistan due to Kashmir conflicts. If Kashmir was solved, i am sure it could be good relatons between both countries, dont see any reason for not having good relationsship.

There is only one way to resolve the Kashmir issue - be content with what we have got, convert the LoC into IB and just be done with it!!Everything else will be resolved on its own, in time.

expect a hundred year war before environmental degradation due to over-population puts a number on pakistan

You are overreacting m8, the days of all out conflicts are long gone.

when i meant hundred year conflict i meant hundred year cold war with Kargil type skirmishes, low intensity warfare and propaganda

Problem is in the mindset to still support two nation story .... make peace and we can find a solution to Kashmir problem later... with soft borders and friendly relations Kashmir problem will fail to exist.
