A ‘Muslim Union’ is the need of the hour

A global Muslim Union would have a population of around 1.5 billion.

It would also have a massive economy, and it would have control over two of the most important geo-strategic regions in the world (Central Asia and the Middle East).

As well as control over the vast majority of oil and gas reserves on the planet.

That would be a true global power, in a way that China is not (yet).

There's so many differences and issues within and amongst the Muslim nations that will never allow such a union to exist.

That is the potential of a muslim union, it has yet to be realised.
This union will have many benefits for the muslim world and for the world at large; for the muslim world it will make it much more stable economically, this is the least to say, it will then thwart many conflcts in the region, and as you know, those are the hottest points of conflicts in the world (apart from what is happening between China an the US now over the chinese flying zone...), with less or the absence of conflicts in the middle east the wole world will benifit.
So this is not conditional it is a must for the muslims to thrive.

@Pathan02

We can bridge our differences just easily if there's a proper leadership in Kabul. If i'm not wrong, we have done more for Afghans than any other nation in the region.

The issue is 'realization' and 'subsequent policies'.

I would like to believe that but... what you guys have done is radicalization of your societies with different entities going after their own interests and whose main aim is to usurp power. They thrive on chaos and mayhem united by their goal to drive out the occupation forces.

One can't say what would happen in the future and what wouldn't. Honestly some of the things that have happened till now were pretty much unimaginable a few decades and if we move further a few centuries back. Some of the most unlikely things have occured which people could not have dreamt of so against all odds i don't know maybe our future generations would be living that dream of a united Muslim union.

Muslim union is a kids story, like Santa Claus.

Grown ups don't believe in it, but they do tell it to little kids.

And little kids post these stories on public forums.

Let me give few examples from our own backyard. OK?

Muslim union if it all possible will take approximate 50 to 100 times longer than a happy union between China and Taiwan.
or 1000 times longer than the HAPPY union between North Korea and South.

I emphasize on HAPPY because

the alternative scenarios are

1. North Korea occupying and making union with S Korea
2. South Korea occupying and making union with the North

3. China occupying and making union with Taiwan
4. Taiwan occupying mainland and making a union.

And if you have felt horrified with any of these scenarios, you will understand how Muslim countries feel about their supposed union. Yes. Horrified!

Exceptions off course are the little kid posters.

Hope you understand.

The Muslim posters on this thread seem to think it's a nice goal to work towards.

Sure, a proper "Union" of all Muslim countries in the world would be "highly unlikely" in the present scenario.

I don't think anyone will dispute that.

I just said that in the event that it does happen, IF it does happen (however unlikely), then it would be a very powerful entity in terms of global geopolitics.

T......

Do you have Chinese proverbs (I am sure you do) that could translate the following?

1. Till fat lady sings
2. Till cows comes home
3. Till pigs fly

Let me know please.

Because these three or similar proverbs nice explain how quickly Islamism will be expected by all the Mullahs.

Thank you

I think why they post about such aspirations is:

The lack of hope about the country lends to aspirations of perhaps some existential " union" could help the situation

A reverse example would be Americans: The history is fraught with ups and downs but every step of the way, the american people looked within to improve it. This union talk is looking outside to help w/ the internal deficit.

I could be wrong...

i think it's possible in the long looong run. However, before it can happen, the influential Muslim countries will need to be militarily and politically independent from any other current superpower. Once independent enough, then we can look for options, unless centuries old rivalries will be kept alive. As long as one party is united (EU, US and Israel), the other not united party stands no chance. divide and rule. That's also why i hate seeing topics such as "which Muslim country is the strongest (in the ME)?!", because it doesnt matter at all which muslim country is the strongest (and also creates hate among us muslims), we are divided anyway. If they really have to, the US, EU and Israel (combined) can do whatever they please with any of the strong muslim country muslims mention anyway.

It's easier said then done and is quite complicated. If you are talking about unified Middle Eastern bloc/greater middle eastern block, that includes Afghanistan and Pakistan. That becomes more integrated economically and has visa free policy, with rights given to the citizens of this bloc to own property and business in each other states.

It sounds like a good plan, but on what basis are you gonna build this bloc on ?
The foundation of this bloc would be as solid as the matter it is build upon.
Unfortunately, I think right, now the foundation of religion alone is not sufficient to make this bloc, and might add complications to it.
We need more than that.

Such a block did exist before, it was called the Ottoman Empire, and it eventually declined and died.

This middle eastern bloc does not really need religion to materialize. What it needs is JUSTICE. I would rather have a bloc made on the basis of true justice, with a non Muslim nation, then a bloc made on muslim hood with no justice at all.

The foundation of this bloc would be as solid as the quality it is build upon.

There is the EU bloc. But you are right , that is built on economic need, this criteria is based on religion- and not even among the like minded within the religion.

No one will listen, they are all asleep. We still live in the dark ages and will continue to do so until we get rid of these things.

1: Tyranny
2: Extremists
3: Racism

:tup::tup::tup:

More Santa Claus stories. Dare I say.

Religion based union is the first step towards fascism.
