A muslim man denied German citizenship for refusing to shake woman's hand

Clearly they are not looking for you to bring your culture but rather want you to assimilate into theirs. That's their whole view point of citizenship.

Still doesnt give this immigrated cheerleader the right to call us extremists. Its not extremism to ban headacarf but its extremism to ban nudity??? Their culture is based on hypocrisy and yet claim to be champions of freedom.

Good, don’t come to Europe if everything here is unacceptable to you. Stay wherever you are or wherever suits your sensibilities.
Yes, but you would cry when I would say that Hindus should leave Muslim Pakistan, because Muslims don’t like idols. You liberals are hypocrites and only here to appease white masters.

See I make six figures here in Germany, my parents and grandparents left Pakistan due to economic reasons. I didn’t become a beer-drinking wife-swapping German advocating gay marriage. I am a tax payer and a law-abiding citizen without accepting everything they find ok. This is called identity, Muslim identity to be more specific.

Since 2015 everybody could come to Germany and demand asylum. There are so many violent and criminal foreigners, living in welfare, here who were naturalized decades ago with no problem. But a Muslim doctor who didn’t harm anybody is not a good candidate for citizenship? There is something that is called religious freedom. Like you liberals want 100 Hindu mandirs in Islamabad to show the world how woke and tolerant you are but at the Same Time you deny Muslims their own personal freedom.

This is just plain islamophobia of a narrow-minded people. Strip the citizenship of those criminals and welfarers first, then you can condemn the personal freedom of a Muslim.

@W. 11, You sad, sad, pathetic little Indian man, your only exist to start religious or ethnic fires, How sad your personal life must be. I feel sorry for you!

Did u grow up in a tunnel or wat? More than 90℅ of pakistanis never shake hands with female. Most of them might not even pray 5 times a day, which makes it more of a cultural thing. U calling it extremism only shows u have no idea of our culture, better stick with ir brown sahib hanging between cultures. I am educated and a moderate but never shake hands with a female, neither do i want my sister motjer or wife to shake hands with other men. If ur ok with that, its ur own choice but dont call others extremists.

One can always make a comment without barking from his/her arse. I can think of thousand different creavtive place where you probably lived your entire life but i am not a pathetic little man like you. I was talking about men not women even if a woman is not a Muslim it is not as if she will shove a hand in your face unless she know you very well. I was talking about respecting culture and beliefs of other people and not insulting them. If a culture is not to your taste then don't come to these parts it is simple as that. Just the way you are so proud of your culture and beliefs same way non Muslims of west also take pride in their culture. Next time try read entire thread rather than nit picking on a single comment and then going berserk. When you live in a multicultural and diverse countries one has to make minor compromises if you want to live as a community. If someone is going to be a retard and start washing their feet in a sink in front of a patient then you will become a laughing stock or an outcast. In Pakistan people from different provinces cant even live next to each other without looking down at one another. Imagine the level of tolerance majority people show here by allowing a completely alien culture.

It is their culture. Freedom to expand not limit oneself is the expression of their freedom. But whatever it is, it is their country and it is their right to see fit whether someone can be included or excluded from becoming part of their society. If you feel so deeply for your religion then what are you doing in Christian lands. Don't bother, you'll be seen as outsider. Better stick to Islamic lands and prosper.

Why are you here, you like pakistan?

regards

if I felt the mods were too biased, I wouldn't be here would I. The same way, if you don't like their society which allows pre-marital sex, low slkirts and open relations, don't go there.
Then also dont pretend to be champions of freedom, dont interfere in other countries. They have a problem when countries like saudi makes it compulsory to cover ur head while in public, but its ok to ban headacarf in their own country? The guy is a doctor and probably serving the country way better than majority of the citizens, he would want citizenship but with his personal choices preserved. If u claim to be champions of freedom then allpw them personal freedoms likechoice to wear what they like and choice to touch or not to touch anyone they want.

Your definition of 'freedom' is different from theirs doesn't mean their definition of freedom isn't valid.

We most Pakistanis dont shake hands with females, we also dont like our sisters n mothers to shake hands with other men, its our culture and part of our modesty

So calling others as extremist is ok for u but when pointed out ur hypocrisy u start crying? Tell me how is it extremism?? How is it salafism? U just couldnt hide ur sectarian reality. Its also very evident that u want only the culture of ur masters to be respected but dont want muslim culture to be respected?? That too a personal one like shaking hands. According to ppl like u, if a person offers a handahake and u deny due to being germophobe or other its ok but if its religious reason then its not ok??? Do u even see the hypocrisy?

. .
that wasn't the reason. If you are germaphobe then it is different. But you wanting to be their citizen yet you stick to your past cultural values and being adamant about it defeats the purpose of the extension of citizenship.

And where is the personal freedom to choose how to live your life in a free society?

Especially considering his choice does not harm in anyway else, anyone else

This is freedom of speech and choice curtailed for a ethnic and religious minority on purpose based upon nothing but prejudice

For citizens of these countries just like the Black Lives Matter movement a stand needs to be taken

Personally i think muslims should never live there but then these western countries should also not interfere in our countries. They should also not tell us not to kick out refugees. They should also not blame us for not making mandirs for idol worshippers, they should also not blame us for not allowing women become nude, they should also not judge us for banning and punishing homosexuality. Why the hypocrisy?? If u have rules for ur culture, i should have for mine too, why blame us and judge us and yet pretend to have the moral high ground and claim to be "champions" of freedom.

Let's examine the so called hypocrisy...
1) German society believes there must be freedom in everything for everyone
2) Man applying for citizenship believes he has the freedom to express his opinion but everyone must restrict their freedoms

Clearly incompatible. An individual is a part of society and he really is fundamentally incompatible with their society.

He is doing more than choosing to live in one way. he is going to influence others in a way that restricts their freedoms. Specius arguments.

Good. If you aren't willing to live within the laws of the land then you should migrate. Same option for all of us living here in non Muslim lands.
