When has KSA commented on the veil in other countries? The answer is never.
Criticizing the treatment of Muslims in certain countries is not surprising as KSA is the birthplace of Islam and will obviously speak for Islam for that reason alone.
Unfortuantely this idiotic law, which is not really a law (it only says that women are not allowed to take a driving license) is a disgrace for KSA in my opinion and must change immediately which King Abdullah also have said that he will do. Anyway many women are still driving and when stopped many of the policemen are just looking the other way. Some women are driving on the countryside etc. be it in mountain villages or more secluded areas on the countryside across KSA.
It is particularly ironic given that Muslim women in the time of the Prophet were able to ride horses and camels into war, and yet they cannot drive cars (the modern day equivalent of horses), now in the Land of Islam. I am sure that gradually this situation will change, inshaAllah.
