Firstly thank you for your answer:
@Akheilos

you sir have summarized the almost every thing one would blame for the failiue of the state, you have done a fine job, Thank you for doing so and giving us an opportunity to discuss it with relevant knowledge summarized in hands

IMO, not only the information you have provided but on other happenings I would say that politics is not a bad choice if this "politics" is played on an international level rather on the national level, but with people like us it's the worst

my reason to it, well politics (for more that 80% of its population) gives shelter to those who are cunning, arrogant, illiterate, and the incapable.....it only provides access to the blood sucking people to get more out of nothing !!!!!

BHUTTO nailed it.....but it does not mean that ppp would do good every time.....it does not mean that I support ppp....in the modern pakistan there is no rival to him yet.

in the case of the army, ZIA's tenure was the worst Pakistan had ever faced.......we still bleed thanks to his big and vast burger fueled heart
In OP I had also listed the years and number of years each party had a go with Pakistan: about 20 yrs down his death no one can undo what he did! I am sorry to say then he was great! Because a great men only leaves and impression it doesnt matter good or bad....Meaning everyother political leaders were useless if they couldnt undo anything in the span of 2 decades! I dont mean to be sarcastic but that is how I see it...

All I hear is people blaming a 20yr old corpse instead of pointing out their own failure, ignorance and incompatibility....Were the people not busy sucking each other's blood, showing off, blabing sweet nothing promises and of course sucking the country off like a leach the coutnry wouldnt be in a disaster as it is now! I dont blame a man who was there for 10 yrs but has been dead for a further 20 yrs for Pakistan....I blame the very blind people who have been sucking it as leaches! The man is long dead blaming him is useless but the people alive did nothing to undo the changes a dead man left! It is amazing that even 2 decades down the path we can still blame Zia....He is like the Hitler of Pakistan...great even if he did bad stuff

politics came in....every one cuts themselves a nice slice

then came the time of Musharraf....

the country saw enormous success in all fields at all times
corruption was at a low....education was at a high.....economy was at a high.....law and order was good....development was good....he had the balls to face anyone and answer one in the eyes.....
this did not mean that he was perfect but he did well......he is also a human and would have made mistakes too.....they may be severe...but in a country where terrorists roam around freely, its hard to look for a balance.....its pretty obvious that musharraf is better than the terrorists

we had politics for 5 years with ppp.....and even now we are having it....

ppp destroyed every thing one could have....pml(n) is just working on the cosmetics of the country..like the metro bus, motorway etc.....they should realize that law and order is the number 1 priority

I want law and order...I want a safe country.....I want an educated society.....is that too much to ask for ???

(in the current situation)
I would go with the ARMY.....if there would have been some one more visionary than BHUTTO or equivalent I could have had second thoughts
The rest I agree ....

I would go for a visionary person and one who inherits sad to say is never visionary until and unless he smells of the sweat of the hard-earned bread!

Voting was easy, just a click of a button...
Reasoning : please give little time bro.. Pelay hi rosa laga hooa hai and got lots of work in the office.. :-) will post later
thats alright take your time ...besides its discussion thread :)

@KingMamba  I demand reasoning

I replied to the last thread in detail .... so here in this thread I will summarize my previous post

I do not support any political party ...... I belong to 'silent majority'

Voted PTI in the last election to show my rejection and anger to both PPP and PML-N at Federal level and MQM in Urban Sindh.
Hi I thank you for your input but since this is a discussion thread ...I was picking some brain and now I am challenging the answers I got...Not coz I dont believe you but coz I was a qaum that is awake and thinks...

Now the silent majority is the biggest winner....were there a poll I think many would fall under that!

My question: kiyun nai uth raha mayra wattan? Why silent? Have we lost hope or the will to voice out?

.
Although I like MQM regarding their approach how to run government ... They have a team of technocrats ... I won't vote to them even in near future ... Also I didn't vote to them for last 2 elections ...............

I don't want party base democratic system ... Democracy should be non party .............

I explain what is in my mind .........

Pakistan should adopt presidential democratic system ... Off course president will have party affiliation ..........

But if I insist that democracy should be non party ... I think that our representatives who elects for local body and legislators for province & federal should be elected via process of non party polls ..............

Ministries should not be given to law makers ... They are only responsible for their core duty ... They shouldn't be facilitated by development budget ... This should be allowed to just local body representatives ..............

Now come to presidential election ... Political parties should participate in presidential poll ... They should nominate to their candidate ... He should get votes from all over country ... He will make his technocratic government ... It means only expert people will run their ministries ............

President & ministers will be bound to act according to law which has been made by law makers ... And law makers will nothing to do with development & departmental budgets ... So they will make laws above their greed & party affliation .........

So I would support only such system not any party ... Liking & disliking aside ..............

meri party hai hi nai kisko vote dalu :(

. .
I support MQM because:

1. Only party born out of middle class educated Pakistanis.
2. Not a single founding members of MQM belonged to upper mommy daddy class.
3. Only party that has sent lower and middle class Pakistanis into parliament dominated by the elite.
4. Strong leadership
5. Stands for the rights of minorities
All this is undeniable ...But a question does arise...Do they also arise from the gangster class?
6. Despite the ethnic labelling and propaganda, it has members from Punjabi, Sindhi, Kashmiri, Northern Areas, Baloch and Pushtun communities.
It has members but it did not win their hearts...why? because of the ethinic card it cries with...Humay Pushtoon nay mara...Humay Punjabion nay yeh kaha woh kiya....
7. Has performed well despite the mass murder of its workers.
8. Supports Pak Army against takfiri terrorists
9. True Liberal values shared by its leader Altaf Hussain
10. Has developed Karachi despite interferences from the federation and PPP.
ok...why hasnt it attacked or wiped out PPP?

@Akheilos my family is PMLN and there is no viable alternatives, there you go.
 :pissed:

meri party hai hi nai kisko vote dalu :(
What is your party?

.

The correct question should be are there criminals in MQM? Yes there in every single party. Crime rates are high in Pakistan anyway. Karachi is a city where you will come across uni graduates wondering around with guns looting people. There are no jobs or future for youths of Pakistan.

.
For those who spoke for PTI:

@wasm95 @Counter-Errorist @Leader @Jazzbot @Devil Soul

My question to you lot is: Why the hell are those lotays from other party not kicked out of PTI yet? What made IK think that when those corrupted morons were sucking in their old parties they wouldnt in his? Seriously ...that is 1 big big mistake!

The rest I can agree with you guys! :D

That sounds reasonable...But how can this be implemented in people who are soo used to baap dada wala nizaam?

No body goes against what the family/ family tree has been doing for centuries! From women rights to gunda gardi ...from feudal system to the very vote their baap dada have been giving...its almost as though people are terrified of change!

I am shocked beyond believe that soo few people rule and have shut the mouths of soo many that to without having to move a muscle!

Your idea is good...But I would like to discuss how it can be implemented?

Yes we saw Gullu Butt so I am sure every party esp since elites are heading it (nope they definitely are not leading it maybe ruling it)

Why the heck would uni graduates loot people with guns? What the hell did they learn in uni then? Unkay and unpar jahal ka kiya difference rah giyea?

Thank you and your reason for pee-ing alot :p:

You got it wrong there! PPP - drink, drink and drink... People who have just broken their fast must have been feeling like drinking whole pacific ocean!

I don't have anyone favorite however voted for PTI in last general elections.

For this we have to go above our party affiliations & likings ... Real revolution will be this if we can change at one our constitution ... People must thing on it ... This is the only way to getting rid of family politics and slavery of leaders ...............

i support MQM because

1) MQM has brilliant decision makers, most of their decisions are correct and the right stance for the national interest

2) MQM rectifies its mistakes if it commits one, they don't have ego problems, they learn from their mistakes
Not too sure but I dont know any better so will give you the benefit of the doubt...
3) MQM makes all leaders on merits, who ever represents MQM has some quality in him, majority of MQM leaders come from APMSO, the student wing, so they are educated, MQM leaders work like common MQM workers
4) MQM has a big charity wing KKF, it has done some nice charity work all over pakistan
I can appreciate this :)
5) altaf never ran for even counsellor election which means the founder of MQM is not power hungry, he pushes bright minds forward instead of pushing himself for becoming PM, this is one of the most important qualities of MQM
Yes but I dont know whom but someone in the party thinks they own Karachi and shut it down at will without thinking of about the sole daily wage bread winner of the family...This prob from my POV comes under ego...and a mistake that has not been rectified till date...
6) they are well organised party, they are disciplined
No doubt!
7) they don't do politics of electables
Again not sure so wont comment
8) they appreciate multiculturalism, if you visit MQM website, they have a news section for sindhi language
Multicultural means of not labeling yourself either...
9) they have a firm stance that women of pakistan must be brought to equal levels of pakistai men, women are more than 50% of population, ignoring women will not make pakistan progress further
This I appreciate
10) MQM stance on religious extremism and fanatism and religious bigotry, they promote religious harmony, they are trying to solve sectarian problem of pakistan, and they are bringing out moderate religious leadership, MQM's mutehda ulema forum is practical example and MQM has even elected a deobandi scholar as its senator
No idea but I wont doubt it
11) i am inspired by MQM's philosophy of realism and practicalism and their election slogan of empowering common people makes a lot of sense then other party's fantasy slogans of naya pakistan, roshan pakistan etc
It does...but how practical is it?
12) MQM is the only party who have proved their governance in local government (3rd tier of government), i believe if they are given chance in provincial govt or federal they will prove a lot, i believe beyond a common man's expectations and thats why i support MQM because they are only party which has a lot of potential
Thank you very much for the detailed reply :)
