A Brief History of The Warrior Rajputs

well, not necessarily all hindus

Pakistanis were Zoroastrians, budhists, native religions

I don't think Hinduism was the unanimous religions of the Sub Continent
Buddhism itself came from Hinduism.Majority of the Pakistanis were Hindus you cant deny that.

Common religion does not mean common history, do Filipinos who are majority Christian have same history as Brits LOL?.
You are being dishonest so lets leave it here.Your example cannot be equated to Pakistan and Indians but lets leave it here.

You just cannot tell for sure while Buddhism was mainly wiped out in most parts of India it was still strong in parts that became Pakistan. That being said you can openly state every Pakistani had some ancestor who followed some sort of dharmic faith at one time even those who have foreign roots because even they married some foreigners. Especially now that more and more Pakistanis inter-marrying with different lineages makes it much more true.

Yes, I believe the majority of Pakistanis did come from hindu background. Something like two thirds.

How am I being dishonest? We both know the local kingdoms did not consider other kingdoms as same people only as more land to conquer or to trade with.

This is best possible explanation, after all Pakistan is birth place of so called Dharmic faiths.

You must have read it wrong, I said Brahmins were lower in social standing in Muslim rule most historians agree that Muslim rule kicked Pundits to the bottom of the food chain so to speak. Converts to Islam were treated differently depending on the leader but most Brahmins who converted to Islam took on Muslim surnames that is what I was referring to whereas you can find ksatriya or merchant class still retain some Hindu surnames. Also lowest caste chose Muslim surnames largely depending on the saint who converted them. Being a brahmin in Muslim India was of low standing, truth.

Some references to support the same would be helpful. Besides, the Brahmins enjoyed the apex position in Hindu society. They had access to knowledge, and also power if they so chose. Why would they want to convert into a Religion which sent them to it's lower social strata? Unless they were forced to convert, I fail to see the reasoning here.

Yep anyway it does not matter Pakistanis are proud Muslims, some Hindus think if you tell a Pakistani he had a few hindu ancestors they will become Hindu again LOL.

What do you mean by wiped "out"?? We didnt kill any Buddhists in India.Another Pakistani was saying to me that we kicked out all the Buddhists because Hindus were not able to compete with them lol.

It is a historical fact that Budhism was wiped out of india for all practical purposes, and it survived only outside india [ Sri Lanka, Burma, Tibet, Afghanistan ]

Going by this logic different provinces of Pakistan like Sindh,Baluchistan e.t.c. cannot claim collective Pakistani history. But anyway lets leave it here.

Tell me more about Gandhara,What do Indians say to you??

Its what you guys say, that bhudists were kicked out of India because they lost in debate with hindus. Which is just rediculous explanation for why bhudism never become popular in India and reality is quite ugly.

What does that mean? Did you mean to say Punjab is NOT equal to India? The equation then is Punjab!=India

I was wiped out because Buddhists lost debate with Hindus.Secondly there is no much difference bw Hinduism and Buddhism.Thirldy Buddha didnt achieved anything significant, achieving enlightenment was a common thing in Hindus at that time.
