Ghost educational institutes is not new phenomenon in sub-continent the influential people show these on paper when none is existing hence they snatch the funds otherwise allocated for promotion of education
You Didnt Read The Article It Seems.
There are No Ghost or NON EXHISTENET Colleges we are Talking About ( 90%+ Here Are private Institutes which are Owned by "BigWigs" which DONT GET ANY GOVT FUNDS )
There are a Large No of colleges in India that have been Existing ( and Increasing Rapidly ) but Not Providing the Infrastructure They Should Have as per The Norms. This Applies To :
Library
Internet Connectivity
Labs
Instruments
Qualified Faculty
Etc.
I am Closely Associated with a NIT ( National Institute Of Technology ) Whose Alumni are Several Top Office Holders in Microsoft, HP , Wipro , Sun and IBM.
And The Standards I see Really Need Huge $$$ To setup, Hence These Private Institutes which are more focusses on 'money making' dont ( or Cant Afford ) make these Investments and The Actual Loose is the Student Himself.
Its an Alarming Situation and Govt. Must Take Steps before Its Too Late.
