Its not what Indians are saying, Its what your own economists are saying. It is upon yourselves to believe it or not.

And even the Indians who don't want to troll have problem accepting this figure of 90%. Why should we believe in it.

If you can still find a way to twist about the data then you guys are a lost cause and there is no genuine economic discussion in this entire thread, just a plain Pakistan bashing orgy.

From what I can understand from the article, firstly 90% are not below poverty line, 90% are poor. The report says only 53% is below poverty line (which is still pretty high and I would take that number with more than just a pinch of salt).

Now depends on how the Pakistani economists did their study, what their criteria for being poor was. They obviously set a very high benchmark for poor since 90% of the country falls in this category. From some of the graphs you have provided, 53% seems to be quite an increase from before, but plausible since things have been bad in the nation for the last few years (since the graphs were made). Thats all there really is to discuss.

I dont no I am in those 90% or 10 % ? :S

Halwa 71 Posts lol

At-least those 90 % got toilets. Clean water for Drinking , a house or at-least a tent for living. And Specially a Cell phone to talk to their relatives friends and family etc, loading a Balance card of 100 Rupees in it every day.

Should i post pic or links from other country ? I mean Shupar Pa war In-Dia ?

I don't believe abt these stats but i think instead of criticizing things you are going to other side

Earning $2 /per day considered as poor such stupid theory won't applicable in India.

Well that is the international criteria.

Thank goodness, you are the first person other than me who has raised questions about the validity of the study, when no criteria or comparative ranking is given.

thats why no one cares what Indians think, and you people are living in delusion, your pony economy is based on Import and primitive consumption, so the nominal measure in Dollar is more suited for India..

That was an excellent Brain Fart ... Kudos:tup:

Pakistan has 53% BPL ...if you accept it you can work on improving the situation.

If you don't accept it.....percentage will go up for you.

the OP seems intent on causing disharmony on this forum . this is one of the many threads he has opened to show Pakistan in a poor light .
let us accept reality and see that neither of our countries are that far ahead , we have huge scope for improvement . and by starting threads like these , showing Pakistan in a poor light we do not become big ourself.
most of our SM are a lot more rational . i would appeal to them not to indulge in this sort of cheap mud slinging .

Damn we poor... now we will have a big dharavi slum and make an economy bigger than maharastra and tease indians with it...
